I'm a bit late to this thread, but I'd LOVE to see a 1/144 scale "kit" of this aircraft!!! I know quite a few people at this site would also be interested: Kampfgruppe144 BBS - Index page
  4. Could this be a photo of one of those elusive "Royal Jet" 370gal wing tanks? They seem to have a cylindrical centre section (unlike the McD tanks which have a continuous curve) but the elliptic front and tail sections look much longer than on the Fletchers. The weld seam is in the same place as on the Fletchers, but again much shorter. J

  6. Not if you know what you're looking at. 😀 The TH-57 is a an off the shelf Bell 206 BIII, hence the enclosed TR drive shaft and enclosed TR gear box.. The OH-58A is a Mil adaptation of the 206A. Specifically, the rotor blades are slightly longer with scarfed tips. To accommodate the longer blades the tail boom is extended a couple of inches. You also should not fly with the doors off on a 206BIII, as above around 100 KTS you get control malfunctions. The paint scheme thought is remarkably similar, although the OH-58A was introduced in the 1968-time frame. One of the dead give
  7. @KursadA, After reading the description of this sheet on your website and considering the number and types of subjects covered, I guess that you could consider this as the "Starfighter Early Years" sheet. Or do you have that one on the back burner? Kind regards, Dutch
  8. Looks like a NAVY TH-57 without the tail rotor drive shaft fairing.
  9. Love it! Well researched and well executed!
  10. Hi All, I am looking for the the nose cone from the Hi-Tech Transkit 72104 for a Peruvian Mirage 5P project. I am more than happy to buy or trade other 72nd parts or decals for one. I am in The States Thank You for looking, WARDOG
  11. I know there are several people here who are well versed on the Arizona history so hope you don't mind the question here instead of the ships threads. I ran across this photo in the In Action book and was curious about the boat in the foreground. It's clearly not the typical white top and appears to be very clean and ornate. If I understand, the group admiral was on board during the attack and I also have heard admirals are allowed to pick their personal boats color scheme and the Arizona was his flag ship. Is this this possibly his personal boat and it would have been on her deck at some poin

I actually flew in a B-1 when I was a reporter after being assigned to a B-1 base for a few years. So I can give a pretty good answer...no, I never saw anyone in a G-suit. Anti-exposure suits, sure when crossing the Atlantic. For my flight, I just wore my own (private purchased from a surplus store) green Nomex suit and a CWU-36P summer weight jacket.

  18. Marvellous on details, well done!
  19. Thanks Andy for offering, but I think I’ll try to fill them an easy way: a piece of paper folded to a long pipe, spray it dark and insert it inside to prevent the see-through. In the end, the exhausts of the Italeri kit are closed anyway.
  20. I can see what you are talking about with the see through effect, any ideas in regards to filling the void? The Revell kit comes with both the engines for display on the base as you probably know, and I haven't used them. Would they be of any use, as I could ship them off to you with the instructions Andy
  21. I have only seen the MH-53E re-released as of 2023, but no where have I found to buy it. I have not seen the CH-53E anywhere???

I think it would be rare for the crew to mix Flight Suit colors as the colors are theater specific (CentCom=Tan). This YouTube video show flight suits, and no G-suit. .
