  2. Not able to crack open any of my reference books that are at home whilst I am at work, but just out of curiosity, what kind of markings would we be able to depict an F-86A in? I ask because a google search tends to bring up Sabres of all variants and not specifically an A.
  3. Photo of this All Weather Flying Division F-86? I have never seen one.
  4. No, Kinetic has released A/B & C/D & E/F kits with both forward fuselage sprues (and canopies) in the original series. The recent Gold release 48160 is a Block 20 F-16A/B with both forward fuselage parts. I assume Gold versions of the C/D will follow. https://www.scalemates.com/kits/kinetic-k48160-f-16a-b-block-20--1519503 Note the decals in 48160 are identical to the previous (original series) release 48055. .
  5. One you might consider is F-86A 49-1319 flown by Capt. James Jabara on 20 May 1951 shooting down his fifth and sixth MiG-15s to become America's first "jet ace." This would have had the early black-and-white stripes, not the later black-bordered yellow bands.

  7. Its should have them. I'm glad it does. It provides positive locating for pods. Shaving off a couple lumps is the least of the issues with these kits. I still see a fair number of built kits that builders left them on because they don't know any better.
  8. Pretty sure the intake parts are the same in all of the kits, so they should all have the mounting tabs for the pods.
  9. I haven't seen the Texas ANG kit, but the Block 25/42 kit has bumps on the intake for mounting various pods, and if you want the pods that's probably pretty good, but if you don't, you'll have to sand them off, which is kind of a pain. I'm hoping the Texas ANG kit doesn't have that.
  10. I believe that was FS 34558. Italian Interior Green - FS 34558 UA116, UA 116 Acrylic Matt | Lifecolor | 22ml (scalemates.com)
  11. You're right. I overlooked the fact it doesn't have the forward fuselage section for the single seat jets. It only has the single seat canopy and the other parts needed to do other versions.
  12. Check out the interior color used on US Armored vehicles. Sorry I cannot provide the FS No.
  13. Don't have any photos to confirm either way, but I would lean toward it being white, with the possibility of the brake having red edges similar to the landing gear doors.
  14. This is incorrect for the F-16 kits. Kinetic has different sprues for single seaters or two seater kits. They have not issued a kit that could do A/B/C/D. It's A/C or B/D. 48105 builds any of the two seaters. You need 48146 F-16C Texas ANG. This has the parts for any Block of the single seaters. AFIAK 48105 and 48146 are the only kits so far with the MCID intake and GE engine. These become "universal" kits where the others are limited to only PW Blocks.
  15. Hello everyone, The decal application is completed and tomorrow will be clear coated. If you plan to add slats to make a foreign Sabre, I strongly advise you to use the Academy instead of the Hasegawa kit. The gun bays is there already so you do not have to fight with the resin bay to make it fit with the kit's cockpit tub. The biggest thing is the quality of the plastic. Old Hasegawa Sabre kits tend to have hairline cracks just from handling. I had to file, sand and repaint from 7 cracks throughout the fuselage that appeared AFTER the whole plane was painted. The plastic tends to
  16. I would think it was close to British Interior green. Just a thought. Cheers Itch
  17. Good tip, Skyraider! Will definitely use that one!
  18. List updated. More will be added as items are sold. Not interested in trades. Getting married in November and all funds are going toward the wedding
  19. Hi, I would like to buy: Scobie 1/48 F-86 narrow chord slatted wing conversion for Hasegawa or Academy $20. Please send PP invoice to drdaiphan@yahoo.com. Thanks Dai Phan
  20. Oh, he does, my friend. He does.
  21. The Korean War Sabre sheet design is already at a fairly advanced stage, and I will accelerate the effort. I might have to add a few more A schemes to the mix.
  22. Hi Paulsbrown, The helicopter in your photos is a completely different bird from the off the shelf Annetra Mi-17 kit! First and most important it has square windows. In most cases they are associated with “passenger” or VIP versions which were very different in many respects. From the outside it has the bigger external fuel tanks, different doors, the KO cabin heater is above the door on the right side, compensating balances on main rotor, additional armour . . . And of course there is that radar on the nose. As far as I know this radar has not been produce
