  2. He actually posted that it's a June release. Why would you badger a one man show putting out a product you can't get anywhere else? I too want the Horsham Orions (my grandparents lived there and I spent hundreds of hours on that fence). VP-66 and VP-64 are on the same sheet, what are the chances of that?! Why post this? If I were Kursad I would say, "have a go at the decal business bro" and ban you from buying any. If he's nicer than me you'll get some in June, like he posted......FFS
  3. Ben, this is great info. I built my first BA Jet earlier this year. Didn’t quite mail all the details. I used the Yellowhammer decals for the ‘69 season. In all the pics I found they had sparrows in place with the fins. Here’s my effort. Finding the right color was my hardest task. I have a can of the Krylon blue, but I don’t like using it on models. Gets very brittle when cured. I went with the Tamiya TS-15 blue rattle can I decanted and airbrushed. I’m planning on doing a Thunderbird E next.
  4. So, a rather unusual idea just popped into my head. Sitting at my modelling desk working on the Kinetic F-16(great kit, by the way!), I got to wondering what a civilian built F-16 would look like. Like, what if Lockheed Martin did to the F-16 as they did with the C-130 and made a completely new airframe for civilians with a lot of money, not demiliterized or bought second hand from some foreign country, but completely new without the weapons specific hardware. So, no chaff or flare dispensers, no RWR's, no hardpoints that can carry weapons. Although, I am considering leaving the centerline har
  5. I had the same thing. The weight had come loose and bounced around. In my case, the little weight box looked torn, so I had wondered if customs didn't look in there and the tear prevented the box from staying shut afterward. No damage in any case.
  6. Five years ago today, hopefully not much longer ? Steve
  7. WOW, she's looking really good ! Is the black stripe painted on or a decal ? Steve
  8. My kit arrived this morning, a day earlier than expected. Looking it over, I checked the trees to make certain everything was there and there seems to be more room in the box compared to some other GWH kits that are really packed tight. This led to a problem with the solid metal weight that is provided with the kit. GWH has it packaged in its own small box glued to the inside of the kit box. This is a bad idea because it is not secured very well and due to rough handling made it's way out of its packaging and was moving around through the parts trees. This thing should have been secured better
  9. Hi Gene! Thanks for rattling my cage…how quickly 2 weeks turns into 2 months! Regarding the ALQ-119 pod, I suffered some setbacks during the painting stages resulting in not just one, but two, strippings and redoings! Luckily, no harm done. Hopefully more pictures soon.
  10. Back to the F-86A. Please! We have all waited for this model for years and Duncan is to be commended for all his contributions and hard work getting a correct kit of this version to market. I have worked with Duncan on the restoration on the F-86L at the MAPS Museum, and there is NOBODY better suited to supply correct information on the F-86. Period. His observations about pre-Korean war markings is spot on- there are many excellent early schemes that us modelers will love to have. Decal manufacturers release multiple schemes per sheet. No reason there cannot be both pre- Korean and Kor
  11. Yes, I have read the thread. I appreciate what you’ve done. But that has nothing to do with the market viability of an F-86H kit. If it’s such a great idea, why has no one done it? You appear to believe it’s a sure-fire winner. My suggestion is, start your own model company and find out. I’d be elated to be proven wrong on this.
  12. Nope, that's not it at all. My experience has been VASTLY different. I'd love to have a convo about my issue, but I'm not one to do it publicly since he isn't here to clear the air. He doesn't want my money, and I'd rather spend 400 bucks on a company who wants my business rather than someone with anger management issues. Also how was I the douche? Please.fill me in because all I ever said quite literally was that he wasn't open for 4 years and I've waited patiently. Ill wait for clarification. I'd also point out I've had nothing but good interactions with him up until 3 months ag
  13. Utley, Jarrad is awesome and you feel besmirched because he didn’t get you a CRL right off the bat. You were quite the douche to him on the Facebook B-1 page. I got to meet him for the first time at IPMS Nats last year and you’ll never find a more pleasant and welcoming person out there. I don’t think the problem is on his end. Chris
  14. Well that's unfortunate. I've had nothing but positive interactions with him.
  15. Because Jarred Bradley isn't that great of a person. I'll never deal with him ever again, and ill just leave it at that.
  16. Swimmer, that's a fantastic looking build! Like Utley, I've been waiting for a long time to get into it. I've built up quite a collection of AM and ideas for what I'll ultimately end up building. Seeing stuff like yours its always good motivation!
  17. Reskit’s offering provides optional parts that appear to account for at least some of the engine differences. For example: part R9 looks like a Wright J65 exhaust.
  18. Met Details are out of their minds for charging this much. Their LDG and bay set is 400USD as well. Just absurd. Utley, are you intending to get that set too? Why did you pass on Bone Fragments CRL when its half the price?
  19. Yeah I'd agree with you, wish I had the talent and patience to scratch build complicated structures. The Bone is my all time favorite aircraft and I want mine perfect. Been waiting since 2008 to finish building mine and now I'm finally seeing literally everything falling into place and that's something I'm willing to shed cheddar on.
  20. I blew out a B-1 several years ago to include scratchbuilding my own CRL. I dragged it around the show circuit on a special base to see the work I did down there. That’s a lot of money for something you won’t really see.
  21. Looking for a good color match for the pale green of the M47 White Phosporus bombs used during Vietam. The closest I can think is the pale green that the Israeli AF used on their early jets.
  22. Paint chips have been updated. Added Krylon True Blue to the comparison. Ben
