    Problems

All image uploading was stopped after the forums were hacked twice by two different hackers. You'll need to upload your pics to a upload service such as photo bucket. Steve B
  2. I think it was the Vectored exhausts that gave it the odd flight characteristics. The photo must have been taken by WACO......the ARC Corporate jet never flies wihtout an F-22 on the wing. Beautiful photo BTW. Thanks.....this photo made my day!!! Steve B
  3. My sister's husband's Dad was a navigator on a Hudson during WW2 (RCAF)......he always jokingly referred to it as the "Mighty Hudson". They once spotted an FW-190 off in the distance.......but the FW-190 didn't go after them......good thing......they wouldn't have stood much of a chance. Steve B
  4. The article states...."IT was just after midnight when the 69th Squadron of Israeli F15Is crossed the Syrian coast-line. On the ground, Syria’s formidable air defences went dead. An audacious raid on a Syrian target 50 miles from the Iraqi border was under way." How is it possible to shut down the air defense network? Steve B PS.....I've cleaned up this thread.
  5. Any word on the pilot's condition?
  6. Well it wasn't actually his 737......he's the Corporate pilot flying the ARC Corporate Jet. :(
  7. Sorry about that.....I suspect it was the bad word filters(?).....I've edited your title to the one you wanted. Steve B
  8. This rule doesn't apply to the Canadian flag or Union Jack flag.
  9. The Chopper II is perfect for cutting tiny pieces of styrene for scratchbuilding....especially for detailing or scratchbuilding cockpits etc. Of course it's strictly for cutting and it gives very clean cuts. It has a razor blade as the cutting tool and when that gets dull you just put in a new blade and she's ready to go. If you do any scratchbuilding or detailing....it is well worth the price. Steve B
  10. I bought an item called The Chopper II by NorthWest Short line. The Chopper II brochure Click here to see picture of the Chopper II This is without a doubt the coolest tool for cutting styrene. Steve B
  11. No worse than the rain forest I live in on the West Coast of Canada. Moss everywhere I tell ya'!!!

    B-52

I just got home from work and read this thread.....there's 10 minutes of my life wasted. :D
  13. I'll be missing the show. Time like this I wished I lived in the UK. You guys over there have no idea how lucky you are.....you can drive to the Aston Martin or Lotus factory etc. Attend some great airshows and and car shows and finally wrap up the year with a 2 day trip to Telford. Enjoy the show guys and take pictures of the models for ARC!!! Steve B
  14. You got that one lookign fantastic and very well detailed......it's hard to beleive it's 1/72!!! Well done!!! :o Steve B ARC Owner
  15. I cut my sandpaper into 1" x 2" pieces and write the grit on the back of each piece. This keeps the sandpaper managable to use. I rough sand with 400 grit and fine sand with 600 grit. For bare metal finishes I go much much finer than that....well over 2000 grit.

    question

I do recall donkey Jackass nose art....can't recall who makes the decals though. Possibly Cutting Edge
  17. Sipher....I've cleaned up this thread.....sorry you got a rude response from some members for your first question. ARC is usually much better than this, but in recent times, aircraft comparision threads have broken out into mini-battles. You will find that ARC has some current and former pilots here.....including Waco (our resident F-22 pilot and a darn fine individual). As Waco so kindly mentioned......much current info is classified to keep the other side guessing. Welcome to ARC Sipher!!! Steve B ARC Owner
  18. I'm very sorry to hear about this accident. Accidents like this make me nervous when I attend airshows, but I still attend. Steve B
  19. Ok....everyone time to calm down. Macedonia is a province of Greece. There is also a part of the former Yugoslavia called Macedonia. The official UN designated name is FYROM....Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. Would the name "Republic of Macedonia" be an acceptable compromise? I know it will be impossible to make both sides happy in this dispute.......I am looking for a solution that both sides can live with here on the forums. I don't expect there will be a solution to make both sides happy. Alexander the Great is the best known Macedonian although I'm sure there was many more as
  20. Frank!!! You're a crazy man!!! Keep it up dude!!! Virginia Beach in 2008 <_< Steve B
  21. Good to hear you dodged the worst of it. When I heard on the news that houses in Ottawa were flooded, my heart sank and I began to worry about you. Life is hard enough without grief like that. Good thinking on the battery back-up.....that's what I call "using your head". :) Steve B
  22. Steve....how's the flooding.....were you flooded out? Steve B
  23. I love it.....that Gray scheme looks excellent.....as does the work you did on it. :) :) Steve B ARC Owner
