Hi Guy Sorry didn't has an update for a long time, I have been work oversea for a while, one year and a few months, and now back to work on my Big "E" here are some update

cut out openning at the Elevator the missing detail from the fibreglass casting will be removed and replace with the new resin casting later and the second fibreglass hull get start, all the defects from the first hull will be fixed , hopfully stay tune :whistle:/>/>/>/>

Hi there, Happy New year :rolleyes:/>/>/> the progress on first fibreglass casted hull. I got the leson on my 1st fibreglass hull - after aplly the surface coat the next layer should be the fine weave fibreglass fabic then the medium weave and the last rough weave, the second hull I will apply 2 layer of fine weave fibreglass , 2 meduim weave and the last one will be the rough weave fibreglast, hopfully ti will not so much heavy for RC. these are some pic of 1st hull cheer

Hi Guy more update on the stren, I will start to cast fiberglass, the rear hull , in this weekend and some pictures, show the danmage on the original mold during taking out the silicone rubber out of the fiberglass support :bandhead2:/> Stay tune

start with applying suface coat then fiberglass trim exceed fiberglass copare with the original one for the first fiberglass front hull, I was a littel bit mess up on the mixing ratio of surface coat and its hardener so it make some small bubles on the surface :bandhead2:/> the next one will be better :rolleyes:/>

some update here I start to work on second stage of casting process, support silicone by fiberglass, it is strong enough (no need foam support) so next weekend I will start to make the front Hull fibreglass and some update on Beehive dome

a little bit progress here : I start to work on silicone molding very messy process and just got more 2 drum of silicone yesterday. This is my plan to do the silicone mold reinforcement stay tune, thank you

but I like #2 so I will develop on this one Jet Blast Sheild, I took the dragon 1/144 flight deck and will cast the resin later. Blast shields photo from USS Enterprise in detail and scale book, they are seem to be the same size but on the Tamiya model are different size so I assume they are the same and the dragon kit is provided details already :woot.gif:/>/> lucky me that it for today, thank you

Hi All a bit more update on my Big "E" Hull got details, and next I will make a silicone mold later and new flight deck with recess deck pattern Elevator #2 and Beehive dome, #1 and #2 are close to the real one, I think frome the image I've found from internet and 1/350 model this is #1 with the Island

May be I can help you, if you have a drawing in cad file I can forward to the one who make photoetch for me. If you don't have cad file I can help you to draw it in cad file, send me the details on your photoetch. cheer

Yes, Yuri. I have some progresss on Beehive Dome,I've done trial and error on these beehives by make 4-5 study models and finally I got the one which look OK, it may not accurate but look good on my island and also make the new flight deck with recess line of deck pattern and tie-downs, finish details on the Hull and will start to make silicon mold next week. I will show photos to you guy next couple days thanks .

Update for today I'm working on detail on the hull and just got my custom made photo-etch ,railing and radar, safety-net will come later. and start to make Mobile crane, my version is not correct but it look better than Tamiya one. Prob, boat and missile launcher are in progress. :banana:/>

And also the photoetch part on the process , I should get it within 2 weeks :cheers:/>/>
