  1. Thanks for the replys guys! I know once I find a U.S. supplier I'm gonna buy at least a couple. Untill then, waiting..... waiting....... ans still waiting Matt :P
  2. Has anybody seen it from a U.S. distributor, or anywhere else for that matter? I can't seem to find it around. I remember seeing it in a 'Finescale Modeler' mag, but after that "POOF" gone... Any help is appreciated... Matt
  3. Will2K65, I THANK YOU! A very short and to the point answer to a seemingly complex question (I searched the forum before I asked the question). I sir, owe you a drink... Matt P.
  4. I'm not sure , but I've a note I placed on the intstructions of my GR.7 stated that ARC had that ZD= GR.5 and that ZG = GR.7. would all of the GR.5's have been upgraded to GR.7's by now (or even GR.9's). I'm doing a Revell 1/144 GR.7 that has ZD407 and ZD404 (Lucy). Are these A/C GR.7's ? Any help is appreciated! Matt
  5. Thanks Spongebob! Thats just the info I was looking for! Matt
  6. I need to know, when the sonar bouy launcher is closed up on the outside, is the equipment still on the inside? I mean I know it would seem like a stupid question but, if they cover-up the launcher on the outside, how hard is it to remove the rest of the equipment on the inside. I mean at least to save on weight and fuel... TIA Matt
  7. I remember seeing it in FSM as being out and about, yet I can't seem to find it. Anybody know what's going on? I'm dying to get hold of at least 3, but I'm NOT willing to buy it abroad and get killed on shipping and the EURO exchange rate... Matt
  8. Is there anybody in the great wide world that makes an SU-24 in 1/144 scale? And while we're on the 1/144 scale, I know that DML re-did their SU-27 moulds, but Russia's been selling attack versions, not fighters. SO HEY DML, HOWS ABOUT A FEW 2-SEATERS'S :D OK... off the soapbox, love you guys' mean it Matt
  9. My question is, if they're showing the Arden gunpods on the A/C now, then what are they going to put in there? Or is it wishful thinking by the aircrews and ground pounders (Tommys)? :o
  10. Bobski, But wouldn't there be 30mm Arden's about from the decommissioned FRS.1/2's and GR.3/5's. I thought bureaucrats HATE to waste money? I'm sure there's everything "plumbed" & wired on the GR.7/9's for the gun system. I guess the poor bastard on the ground is REALLY happy that his government has saved a few Pounds Sterling on his behalf. I guess it's true what they say, "government is like a septic system, the really big chunks of sh*t float to the top"...
  11. Guys' Why wouldn't you want a tactical platform to have a 'gun' option? The U.S. made this mistake with the F-4's. Since then, all of the U.S. tactical A/C have had a gun. Is it that they're cleared for the gun but just not carried? Or another reason (IE: saving weight for more ordnance)? Matt
  12. Bobski, Thanks for the EXCELLANT pic! Just what I needed. Sad though about the 'no cannon' thing, I always liked the idea of an aircraft as a "Gunslinger".
  13. shion, Totally unknown fact! Thank you for the info, I really appreciated it. (Just to clarify, the port side has the designator pod and the starboard has the gun/ECM pod, correct?) Thanks again! Matt
  14. So both the GR.7's and GR.9's don't have the 30mm Ardens? And the pods are used for ECM equipment? I was not aware of that. But that would explaine always seeing the end caps on. I just thought nobody too pix of them comming of the firing line. Matt
  15. I'm not sure where I've seen the post, but there's a gunpod, I think it's the starboard side, that's removed and a partial use of the strake mount is adapted for the lazing pod. Maybe it's just the GR.9's that have the ability (?)
