  2. Hello, I have seen that Afterburner Decals have planed a new Decal sheet "Dakota cats" for 1/48 F-14A Tomcat of VF-142 Ghostriders. I wonder when it will be available ! Thanks for your answer. Dominique
  3. Hy, I mean it's an AUF-2 formerly used on Mirage 2000. The photo in this topic shows a prototype of the Rafale (B01). You have some plans in the SMDS website (smds.ws). Hope this can help you. Dom
  4. Hy again, Thanks for your answers. So, as I can see, the fact that this airbrush could be opened is real but in practice, this is not so simple to re-build the airbrush after !!!! Arghh, it's not simple to choose between plastic Aztek and Metal Aztek. Cheers Dom
  5. Hy, I am interested in the A480 Metal body airbrush from Aztek. As i can i see in this picture, the A480 body has 2 screws on the left side. So my question is : can we open this airbrush in order to clean properly the inside ? Picture from www.testors.com I know that if I open the Airbrush, i loose the warranty but anyway : do you have comments about that ? Thanks for your help Cheers. Dom
  6. Hy, Thanks for your help ! Cheers Dom
  7. Hello, I wonder myself about the difference between the 2 Aztek metal body airbrushes : the A480 and the A7778. Regarding the pictures, it seems no difference. Could you give your point of view ? Thanks Dom
  8. Hi everybody, First, my apologies for the long long time to come back in this thread !!! My B-1B is now finished. First of all, some explanations for ElectroSoldier : Well, as you can see, the I beams in a wing are not at the same length. But all the lengths described on this picture are equal for all I Beams on the flaps. Because i mean that is the most correct width for this mecanism at 1/48 scale (I made this with pictures). I use I beam because the I beam is glued on the lower surface of the slats. In that way, the upper Channel (visible when finished) is at the right height
  9. Hello, I an used to paint with Xtracolor enamel paints and Model Master airbrush. It's quite Ok ! I have bought recently a Harder & Steenbeck Evolution Silverline 2 in one 0.15 and 0.2mm. I have many problems when I want to use this airbrush to make fine line (2mm large) ! About 20s, it' Ok but after, the paint does not come out and even if I put the full jet, the paint comes out but when I put back the quickfix memory position (fine line), it's the same problem : 3s after, no paint ! I made different trials with different thinners : humbrol, humbrol + 10-20% synthetic thinner, white
  10. Thanks a lot but i forget a precision : I search pictures around 1992 with blue markings. Cheers Dom
  11. Hy everybody, I'm looking after any F/A-18C pictures of VFA-37 "raging bulls" with the CAG special markings. Thanks for your precious help Cheers Dom
  12. Hy, To build the flaps, I use the some plastic card (0.25mm thick) and "I-beam" (3.2mm). First, I cut the upper/lower flaps of the wing then glue them together. After this, I glue the I-beam parts in the flap. Finally, I put a rectangular plate between each two I-beam previously glued. I hope the pictures will help you to understand what I mean If not, don't hesitate to ask me further questions :D Cheers Dom
  13. Dear bone builders, I'm not dead Here are some in progress pictures of my Bone. First the wings which are finished with the flaps and slats down, starboard lights and so on. The next batch is for the tail which is fitted with some plastic cards (0.13"). The vortex generators have been placed with care and precaution but at the end, it was not so hard just have to be patient The Chaff/flares dispensers have been built with french mirage F-1CR reco camera box End of the first post, due to pictures limitations :D Dom
  14. The last batch, for the moment :( , concern the wing fold system. I use plastic kit part, evergreen sheet and aluminium tape. The tape was marked with a stick to reproduce the web effect. Ok, that's all for the moment :D Comments are welcome and last, a question : Hey, Bone builders, in what step of the building are you ?! Cheers Dom
  15. Hy Mark and the Bone builders, I just post some pictures of the wing and flaps of my Bone just before assembling the under/upper wing together. As today, I have built the front fuselage and the rear fuselage first. Then I began the detailing of the wings with the idea of making my Bone with flaps and slats down. For the cockpit, when closed in the 2 half front fuselages, you don't see many things so I have not hyper detail the cockpit. Just paint it and glue it. I put some metal parts in the rear of the front fuselage in order to cram it. I used quite a lot of mastic to fill the gap betw
