    Trump mig-3

Polly scale has a Russian underside blue. They also have a fair amount of Russian colors in general. ~christopher
  2. Before I switched to acrylics, I will say that I have never liked Humbrol. I always thought they dried out in the tin really fast. I always made sure the lids were tight, but it was without fail that they would go bad.
  3. Jeez, I'm from the US and I always wondered about that. ... and I even hopped trains when I was in my teen. I always thought that reefer green would be a more apt color name.
  4. something to do with planes that are not primarily combat aircraft. This could include c-47s, JU-52s, Catalinas, recon planes etc... I think it lends itself to a wide array of planes.
  5. What's the going price on this kit? I haven't seen...
  6. Since there have been a few robot/sci-fi/Gundam type models on the front page lately, I don't think it will have an effect on your respectability. Just find a 1/700 airplane and put it in a scene with your gundam batting it from the air and you are in the clear totally.
  7. Though I could be wrong, it would be white, intermediate blue, non-specular sea blue. I"m not sure of the FS #s though. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
  8. 1/48 tamiya rufe with a true details resin cockpit that actually is for the hasegawa kit. I'm holding it for the Pacific GB. also a 1/700 HMS HOOD and E-class destroyer and 1/700 King George V (both Tamiya.)
  9. Actually, that was what was confusing. I use the MM acryl thinner and I don't usually thin too far, but I had thinned this paint out pretty well. At least I thought. The clumping was more of a build-up, but it happened really fast. I stripped the paint and am going to try again. Normally I use Tamiya acrylics and thin with rubbing alcohol and that works like a charm. I can't use enamels because I live in a small apartment and I have a daughter who has lung problems.
  10. A few days ago I was trying to shoot some MM acryl through my airbrush and it just would not spray. I would get little bursts of color, but it would not spray even. I try to use tamiya acrylics as much as I can and I have never had trouble with them. In the past I have used MM as well and had no trouble. When I looked at the needle, it looked like the paint had clumped. I cleaned it off and still the problem persisted. Are MM acryls prone to drying out too fast? Thanks for any help. Chris I'll even admit that I was working on a 1/700 battleship, not an AC. But the ship has a Kingfisher on
  11. Last week on the mainpage I saw a eduard P-40N built up and I realized that I had never built on. I loved the nose art. Does anyone have a decal set for this plane that I could take off your hands. I'd like to build up one with the pin-up girl nose art, possibly even the same on that was on the main page ("watch my form" I know, I'm not too original) Let me know guys Christopher
  12. Nice. there are not enough Beavis and Butthead quotes around anymore. Thanks for the nostalgia.
  13. I am hoping to join this GB. It will be my first. I have a Betty (one-shot lighter), an AM midway Dauntless, and a tamiya Rufe with a true details cockpit that have been waiting for a reason to bust them out.
  14. I'm not sure about your choices, but I swear by the badger 200. a lot of people have posted about this topic.
  15. That's what the almighty e-bay is for. I just got one for less than $30 :D I do have the hobbycraft do-17m/p hiding under my bed too, but it's scary and I don't want to get too close to it. :)
