  1. I like it! My thoughts were more along the lines of a stock V-22 with the weapons and sensors similar to an AC-130 gunship, but I like the sleek look of your escort ship a lot. Great job!
  2. Doesn't look bad all things considered. Certainly looks the part. While I was an Army tanker during the mid-90's they were flying real Hind's as OPFOR/Aggressors at the NTC out in lovely Fort Irwin CA (Mojave Desert).I'll never forget seeing it for the first time, as a tank crewman it is the kind of thing that sends shivers down your spine and it is unmistakable. Of course, the first time I saw it we had just climbed out of the turret after being killed by during the morning "battle". Just a mean looking bird. My what-if thoughts is an AV-22 Osprey spec ops Spooky type gunship. I was thinki
  3. Apparently ARC is programmed to block any links to Zone Five. It will not link correctly no matter how you do it.
  4. My personal opinion is that there are bigger things in life to get worked up over, some cartoon rabbit created by a model manufacturer is not one of them. But whether on Z-5, here or any other forum people are free to get worked up over whatever they choose, and others are free to laugh at them for getting worked up over something so ridiculous if they so choose.

  6. Wait, was there something intelligent posted in this thread that I missed?
  7. The penguin on top of your television will now explode........
  8. Look it's another Jennings grenade toss thread........ Steve, can we get a grenade tossing smiley face?
  9. To be honest, this thread is actually kind of entertaining. I'm having fun with the Monty Python references alone, no to mention an appearance by Mr. Fry and Rowan Atkinson.
  10. I warned you! But did you listen to me? Oh, no, you knew it all, didn't you? Oh, it's just a harmless little bunny, isn't it? Well, it's always the same......
  11. OH MY GOD!!!!!Women and their bodies being used by an Eastern European sweatshop and forced to pose with model airplane boxes as a marketing tool! The travesty! How revolting! Now I am completely offended.
  12. Blame the bunny rabbit, the little bastard is behind all of this......
  13. Ditto. It would appear that some people just go through life looking for things to be offended about...... It's just a harmless little bunny rabbit.
  14. I'm a hard copy book guy myself. I like real books, tried the ebook thing but it just isn't my thing.
  15. Does he have a website? Might be easier for a broader forum audience to help save a LHS if they can buy stuff on the web.
  16. Uh....Yeah. I'm sure that is exactly what will happen now. Exactly. Right.
  17. Personally, I think that 1/144 would be perfect. I think anything bigger will be too big, especially hanging over a baby.
  18. Harry has decent selection of current kits and supplies. Prices are about the same as Spare Time Shop in Marlborough but he doesn't have the same selection (kits, supplies or books). It's a nice shop, I just don't like the pricing tactics he has started doing. I used drop in there every now and again. He used to have good prices on used kits he acquired buying collections. I used to find some great deals in there and often would drop quite a bit on my visits. Nowadays he charges full retail prices for used kits (even older kits). That just isn't good business in my book, especially when you're
  19. Yes, I am aware of those things. That is all well and good, but airshows are not the major focus of the Army and Marines recruiting efforts. And yes, those two services will go on with minimal impact to their recruiting even in the wake of airshow cancellations. Heck I'd be willing to bet if you spoke to an AF recruiter he'd tell you that airshows aren't even the major focus of the USAF's recruiting strategy/program.My point is that the argument that recruiting will suffer due to airshow cuts is just not true. If I am the DoD and I have to trade some airshow date funding for some new equipmen
  20. Look, the simple fact of the matter is that send AF aircraft out to airshows is mostly coming out of the defense budget and simply put there isn't going to be enough money going forward. Like I said, as a former service member the priorities are a little different on how I think that money should be spent, as I mentioned above. The welfare and training of our troops and service members is above PR in my book. Do you actually think that no one will join the AF? I can't speak for others, but I didn't join the Army because I thought it "was cool". Seriously, the airshows aren't even that big of a
  21. To be honest the huge accumulation of debt has been going on a lot longer than just the last four years. We were spending billions a day in Iraq/Afghanistan at the height of operations there for one thing. That said, it certainly has picked up at a breakneck pace more recently.....
  22. Not sure if you misread or read into my post. I'm not for spending any money on any "pet" program. I don't have a pet program personally. I'd stop ALL airshows and anything that spends defense dollars without any appreciable return. Everybody here can string me up in effigy, but airshows while great to go to, are a waste of taxpayer dollars in my opinion. Especially when defense dollars are coming at a premium. Spending the money on service member welfare, new equipment, equipment upgrades and training is at the top on my list of defense spending. If I were in charge, I'd cut stuff across the
  23. I'm really surprised to see so many folks surprised about these types of budget cuts. This is what happens when the economy sux and the government is spending your great grandchildren's generations money. Better get used to it too, it will get worse before it gets better.
