You mean like some kind of documentation that would show what side number went with which BuNo? Yeah. I'd love to find it too. I've got the opposite problem. I've got a pilots log book that tells me squadron & BuNo. But if I want to model any specific A/C, its a swag on the side number, unless I have a photo where I can make out BuNo. You'd think it was written down somewhere in a squadron. I did request a few Aircraft History Cards hoping it would document the side numbers, but they don't https://airandspace.si.edu/collection-archive/united-sta

Anybody Know How To Order From FlightDecs?
Sabre Freak replied to Sabre Freak's topic in General Discussion
Thanks all for the responses -
I've been sending e-mails to the "ORDER EMAIL", but no response. Maybe they only take phone calls/snail mail? https://www.flightdecs.ca/FLIGHTDECS_aircraft_military_aircraft_decals.htm

I know you said Navy, but this VMA(AW)-242 Easter Egg load is worth noting. Sorry I can’t find the website anymore that had pics of the real thing https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234998070-intruder-with-easter-eggs/

I see the NA style buzz numbers is available. Do you have a revised ETA for this one?

The CAD, yes. The fact they were working on a 1/72 Hercules, no that’s been known for awhile. Different topic. I’ve read that US distributors can’t get Zvezda products due to a trademark issue Anybody else know the scoop?

Need help Star & Bar size on AF SEA F-4 Phantoms
Sabre Freak replied to P-38 guy's topic in General Discussion
Well F-106 site has a 1964 and a 1994 editions of T.O. 1-1-4. 64 is too early and 94 is probably too late. FWIW, the 94 edition calls for 15" National Insignias for camouflaged aircraft. https://www.f-106deltadart.com/manuals_documents.htm -
Great build so far! IIRC, CA was first with the TA-4

Mine was easy. “Nick” flows through the generations on my dads side. We “russionized” it given his birth country. And no I’m not suggesting “Nick” but you get the idea. Look to your ancestors for inspiration. We are the mechanism through which our ancestors have continuity. -
Just read that Tamiya announced at Nuremberg its officially releasing the F for Freddie version. Guess I’ve been seeing things in this thread HA

Well if it doesn’t involve white I DIY. or I’ve worked with Draw Decal. No idea if he still does custom work. https://www.drawdecal.com/about/

So many new kits released... I’ll drop this here. Seems to have an example from just about every USMC HOK-1 operator https://www.ragay.nl

Just found this great website while I was scouting about looking for different marking options. Hard to tell with B&W photos but I think they were all 34097 https://www.ragay.nl

Great question. Never seen a photo of a USMC OA-4M or A-4M on a boat or come across well, anything for that matter, that indicated they kept up their Car Quals. Obviously that doesn't mean it didn't happen, just that I've never seen any evidence.
