  1. What a fantastic build of that EA-6B!!! Makes me want to go out and buy that kit ASAP
  2. Looks great! Concerning the Talon acrylic NMF - I just received a couple bottles and am anxious to try them; do you see any issues applying over a primer like the automotive grey types? Thanks!
  3. I know this kit is not considered very good, but can anyone comment on the quality/accuracy of the decals? From what I understand it comes with markings for VA-35 and VA-85 - both interesting subjects for a Revell A-6A project down the road (once I finish about 10 others including a Marine A-6E on the bench currently lol) Thanks!
  4. Was there ever any pics or information concerning the masters for the Harrier posted? I have more hope on seeing the Intruders from Trumpeter just because there were some pics of what I assume is the master model out there for it: http://www.hlj.com/showreports/ths05/ths-air/index5.html 'course that was 2005 when these were taken so maybe things have changed. My fingers are still crossed 'tho.
  5. Ya - I had seen the waldron stuff but I was looking more for the etched part as opposed to the film part (not sure if this makes sense?) - kinda like with the eduard sets - I am looking for the "raised" photoetched surround to the screens as opposed to the screen or dial itself? Maybe the waldrons come with that also? The pics seem to show just the film and I assumed you had to fashion the surround by drills or the punch set. Thanks!
  6. Does anyone make a "generic" set of photoetched radar screens of various sizes/shapes and other instrument bezels (I think that is the term?) to scratch-build instrument panels for jet a/c? Thanks!
  7. Got the set today - looks fantastic and I can't wait to get started on my A-7 now!
  8. Most excellent! Any aftermarket sets used?
  9. The Revell kits are not too bad but like you say they are not as nice as newer offerings - detail and such is a bit clunky. I believe both the Revell and SMER are slightly reworked aurora moulds - done ages ago. My recommendation would be to check out the Eduard "Weekend Edition" versions of their kits - they run around $10-$15 USD if I recall. Same plastic parts as their more expensive kits, just not as many decal options or any extra photoetched bits. If I recall they have a couple Albatros, Pfaltz and Nieuport in this series.
  10. Agree with the others - not too worried about the mirrors
  11. Well, I cannot speak for all of the sets as I have only two of them so far - the seat set and the avionic bay, but my thoughts are that if you are going to use an aftermarket seat (Aires or BB) the eduard set for that isnt too useful. If you use the kit supplied seat then it will be much more desirable. I will probably get the interior set and use the main panel and some of the details along with the black box interior tub. From the Eduard site, the exterior set looks to have some nice details and placards for the wheel wells, so that is tempting to get also. The weapon set seems maybe a bi
  12. Hi - just wondered if anyone had some guidance on the most accurate set of line drawings available for the A-6E? I have some from "Intruder Modern Military Aircraft" and found some others online and they differ pretty significantly in panel lines and from the lines on the Revell kit. I want to rescribe the Revell kit and figured if I am going through the trouble I might as well try to do 'em accurate. Thanks!
  13. Trumpeter 1/32 A-7E with extras - thanks again Tony!
  14. Looking great! Very inspiring as I am working on a nearly identical build for a VMA(AW)-224 a/c currently (no wingfolds tho)
  15. Really excellent!!! I am trying to get the decals and stuff to do one of these myself - just love that camo scheme.
