Are there any aftermarket ejection seats currently available for the F-111 in 1/48? Searched a bit - about all I am finding is that ages ago there was a Black Box 'pit set?

Thanks man - this kit has its challenges! I shall have to try to do that trick with the vacuum - I already have to fish out one of the boarding steps from the vac bag here this evening which I am not looking forward to at all - that sock trick would work much better I think :)

Yep :) You musta posted while I was doing my second entry - you are right, it was a lucky break (har har) and the wing fit back on there pretty cleanly aside from having to remove and clean up the underside wing root putty and redo some of that....

So after turning the air blue with swearing and scaring my dog with that, I resisted the urge to throw the thing across the wall and took a break. Tonight I got it sorted back out as in the below pic. I still need to invest in some sorta flooring that not only resists carpet monster issues but also is cushioned - my numb fingers are really proving to be problematic. I have seen some rubber flooring tiles intended I think for workout or playroom areas - might have to invest in some of that....

Thanks Gianni for the positive feedback! Well I had quite a lot of progress last weekend - got the resin intakes and exhaust installed, the fuselage was all closed up (right, left and bottom sections,) wings glued on, seams cleaned up etc.... then I dropped it:

Hiya, well, I haven't build the HB kit though I have a couple in the stash - it looks better in the box vs. Kinetic to me though. If I can ever finish the Kinetic A-6E I may go right into building the HB A-6A (it has been extremely difficult to not just dump the Kinetic kit and move on to the HB kit ...) Regarding the Kinetic A-6E underway now. The issues that I have found: -the cockpit did not fit very well at all for me - this took a ton of fiddling around with the fuselage halves and the pit itself to get a sortof decent fit -the leading edges of the wings and vertical

Yeah - im not in a rush here, want them to get it right and if that takes another six months so be it That said, I wouldnt exactly mind more news from AMK on the status... :)

So how are the OzMods correction/aftermarket sets? They look quite nice on their website, especially the wheel well/undercarriage replacement set. At some point I would like to do an EF-111A Raven - I assume the Academy 1/48 kit for this retains the issues of the other versions?

Hiya - I might have that Microscale sheet - I shall check Questions: 1) metal wing I am about 95% certain (unless they have done another kit released that I missed? The one I have has the Sunday Punchers, desert Storm, on the box art and it is metal wing). I think the only composite wing A-6 in kit form was done by Kinetic (building it now actually here) 2) Wolfpack I believe did one for the old Revell kit, actually may have this in the back of the stash - will take a peek 3) unsure on this one

doubt we will see this before 2nd quarter 2018 myself. If it shows earlier, fantastic, but at this point it seems still a ways out though I don't think there has been much word (has anyone who does facebook checked their site/page lately?)
