Scouting, reading whatever I get my hands on. Modeling interests are pretty much anything but armor, but aviation is my first love and the bulk of my planned projects.
  1. I've always wanted to see a series of kits for cars done on Overhaulin'. Even if they picked ten or so that were done up to look close to stock (in order to save on moldings), that would still trip my trigger and I'd buy every one.
  2. Outstanding build! Keep up the good work.
  3. Even though my plans for airliners are all in 1/144 at this point, I clicked every one of those, not only because I'd like to have the option to go big, buut because when I build a model as a gift I often do it in a bigger scale than I would for a model I was keeping. I'll also echo the call for a good Dash 8...I could build a million of those in 1/144 and 1/72 birds would make great gifts for non-modelers.
  4. Thanks for the info, Frank. You're a font of help, as usual.
  5. I noticed we're not on the Group Build Calendar. What's up wit dat?
  6. Cool, thanks for clearing that up, MoFo and Dave.
  7. I have a question that relates to this...and mght make me sound pretty dumb. Does the plastic insert in the Mr. Surfacer 500 bottle have any vital use? Is it there to keep the threads from gumming up, to take up air space (and reduce what's available to react with the fluid) or some other good reason, or is it meant to be pitched when you first open the bottle? So far I've left it in, but I've only had the stuff for a few days.
  8. Got a Blue Angels Connie in 1/144, Tenax and Mr. Surfacer 500 from Squadron. Part of my Christmas loot!
  9. Thanks for the good wishes, Frank, and I hope you enjoyed those grandkids! Had a great day here...Let's just say I didn't marry my wife for her cooking, but it sure sweetened the deal a lot! Kind of funny to think this is the last time we'll celebrate it in this house...we have a contract on a place with enough bedrooms for all the kids to have their own and a garage with plenty of room for a man cave for me. Life is good! Now, back to my leftover turkey leg...
