  1. Same here, I ordered a part, unfortunately, the kit was discontinued. They tried their best to provide me with an equivalent part of a similar kit still in production. Part arrived properly packaged, and protected. Great service. -Al
  2. I spent $40 to get the 1/48 rosie to also find out Radu's pounce wheel, which I already had in my box for $14/set of 3 I found Rosie to be way expansive for what you got. I can understand the cost of the work envolved with the old pounce wheel, the the etched new one? Way OVER priced -Al
  3. The method I use is the place a razor blade in the seam, use the touch and flow to the blade. Through capillary action, the adhesive flows down the blade to the plastic for a flawless seam. I keep sliding the blade all around, no spilling. For small seam filling, I something use Mr Surfacer 500, and sand, or putty and nail polish remover. Works great. -Al
  4. I am speechless, and awed! Now that's an urban chicken! -Al
  5. Thanks guys, that is the way I was going to go as well... I'm at the stage of attaching the wing to the fuselage. I tried to install the Aires wheel well, and it did not turn out very well, no matter how much I shaved off everywhere, the wing would not close. Total garbage, so the P-51 will be an in-flight display, something I wanted to do anyway at some point... Thanks for the input fellas -Al
  6. That looks great! Love the clothes drier at the front, and beautiful paint job -Al
  7. Has anyone else encountered a problem with this kit's wing? The instruction sheet, and end product produce a flat wing like the hurricane. Did you come up with a solution? I got to get this fixed, it looks awful... like a bad Airfix kit... brrrr -Al
  8. Looks very nice, can you describe how you went about making the ground? Very effective paint work as well -Al
  9. I am so sorry about your condition, but there's always something to forget, everyone has that, if I could only remember what mine is.... There's nothing we can say, but we'll be here for you Best wishes -Al
  10. Not to diminish the honour, as I am serving in the military as well, but being alive and not seriously hurt is also something to be thankful for. That aside, it's a great tribute not only to himself, and units, but to all others who's acts of heroism is often, either un-noticed, or not reported through channels. My most sincere congratulations to SSgt Giunta, his family, and to his unit to have produce such an outstanding person serving in the profession of arms. Most respectfully; -Al
  11. Outstanding as always, your work is truly inspiring. I have a question, what kind of wood do you use? The wood grain looks perfect. Do you paint, or stain it? Merci en avance -Al
  12. Makes you wonder why to go to war in the first place. How about a reconciliation with Cuba, it's about time no? -Al
  13. I was in the Sea Cadets from 75 to 80, RCSCC Admiral Legardeur No. 240 outside of Montreal, then RCSCC Victory No. 6 downtown Montreal at the Naval Reserve Donacona. I then joined the Navy in 80, and still going strong! 6 years to go until retirement!!! -Al
