  5. Here are comparison images of the white resin kit seat and the translucent Shapeways seat. Kit seat side view: Shapeways seat side view: Kit seat top view: Shapeways seat top view: It does appear that the Shapeways seat is supposed to be 1/35, since the length fits into the cabin, and the cosmonaut looks like he'll fit into the kit's seat. I think it's just a case of the Shapeways designer using outdated information for the size and details of the seat. Peter
  6. I went ahead and ordered the Shapeways ejection seat, but unfortunately it's a fail. The entire seat is a much larger diameter than the kit's seat. It's so large that it won't fit through the hatch opening. Looking at it, it's apparent that the designer used Reheat Models' 120mm kit as a reference, which was made before there were reliable Vostok references, so it only bears a passing resemblance to the real seat. (I wanted to attach photos, but I'm only allowed a total of 100kb of photos per post, so that's useless.) The Shapeways seat is offered in 1/24 scale also, wh
  7. Roger, you need to post this in the Buy and Sell forum. Peter
  8. Yes, I thought about cutting the seat off, but I just can't bring myself to spend $38 plus shipping for just the figure. I can always add him later if I change my mind. There's one other guy from the (former Yahoo) groups.io Space Modelers Group who is building it also. I've only started removing pieces from their pour stubs and test fitting, but so far I'm very pleased with the fit of the sharik quadrants and the fit of the interior shell into the sharik. The interior needed some thinning on the foot end to fit properly, but nothing out of the ordinary. The quality of the casting
  9. I'm just starting the Vostok with interior, and I'd like to show Gagarin in the capsule. Shapeways has a 1/35 Gagarin with ejection seat: Yuri Gagarin Vostok Ejection Seat Has anyone used this seat in the Red Iron Vostok? I'd hate to buy it and find out it doesn't fit properly. I tried contacting the designer via Shapeways several months ago to see if he makes just the Gagarin figure, but he did not respond. Thanks! Peter
  10. I'm looking for this kit: Hasegawa #02074 1/72 Boeing CV-22B Osprey "U.S. Air Force" The only difference between this kit and all the other Hasegawa Ospreys is Sprue J and the decals. If anyone has just that sprue or decals, that would be great too. I also have a USMC Osprey that I can trade, Hasegawa kit E41. Thanks! Please reply to peterogm at gmail dot com . Peter

  14. Chris, It looks like I can only upload 100Kb of photos to each reply, which is why the box photo is so small. Here's a link to a Photobucket album with large photos of the parts: Accurate Models 1/20 Saturn V F1 Engine kit parts Please let me know if this doesn't work. Peter
  15. This is a large multi-media kit of the Saturn V’s first stage F1 rocket engine. The kit comprises resin, white metal, brass, ABS and clear parts, decals (yup, even rocket engines have markings) and 2 CDs of instructions and prototype photos. The finished model is over 12” long, and the open end of the engine bell is over 7” in diameter. I’m the original owner, and I’ve inventoried the kit to ensure that it is complete. This kit has been out of production for many years. $450 plus insured Priority Mail shipping with signature delivery. Please contact me directly at peterogm
  16. I'm looking for Radu Brinzan's IAR 80C conversion set for the 1/32 Azur IAR 81C kit. Thanks! Peter
  17. Hi all, I'm looking for an Airfix 1/144 Saturn IB, either the new release or an old one, complete or partial. I already have the S-IVB and new Apollo stack (which were included in the Saturn V Skylab kit), so all I need as a minimum is the first stage and interstage. Thanks! Peter
  18. I'm looking for the 1/48 CA Meteor NF.11/13 two-seat night fighter. Does anyone have one they'd like to sell? Thanks! Peter
