  1. I only have pictures from 2005/06, but I can see from those pictures that most Blackhawks carried names (e.g. 'Hells Guardian - Slick Hounds' and 'Rooster'). Jens
  2. You cannot build an accurate B or D OOB from the E/I kits. The lower fuselage parts have been changed from the B/D kit to correctly portray the E/I belly (I found out by actually comparing the parts from the kits). That said, I'd go for the GWH kit any day. I have lost interest in the Revell F-15Es I have in my stash, and I have scrapped an Academy kit. Jens
  3. Yes, the F-15I includes frame J which is the one with the c/l pylon on it. Jens
  4. If you're concerned about dimensions and accuracy, go Hasegawa. Jens
  5. Check out the Fightertown Decals Desert Bogeys decal sheet. It has an F-5 in a similar scheme, so you can likely use that as reference. Jens
  6. It looks like FS35450 but it could be something else in that region. Jens
  7. To me it looks like the following colours front to back: FS36375, FS35237, FS36320 and FS35164. Jens
  8. Nice progress! Where did you find the odd national marking version? Jens
  9. Super Scale might have made some national markings that fit the size and style you need. Try looking for their US national markings sheets. Jens
  10. It does, and it's a simple matter of leaving out parts (ventral fins) or using other parts that are in the box. Jens
  11. Thanks Jon. I am still waiting for my set to arrive. Jens
  12. What happened to good old build threads?! 😞 JJ
  13. It should be available again: https://www.shopofphantoms.com/rhino/Pulsar/en_US.Shop.displayShop.8158./wmf48016-iaf-ah-64i-saraf-conversion Jens
  14. Hannants had one set left. 🙂 Jens
  15. I have now ordered the Olimp resin set along with some Master M197 barrels. That should keep me entertained (and able to build a late Whiskey). Jens
  16. The Iranians also had a few Zot Box equipped F-4Ds. I have seen only a few pictures of the installation. Here's one. Jens
  17. Thanks for your replies. The thing is that I can probably find the KH AH-1Z for the same price as the Olimp set. That said, I understand it doesn't solve my NTS/exhaust issues completely. I have read that the Olimp resin kits are rough and not always the right size. Would that go for the Whiskey set too? Jens
  18. Thanks for your reply Ray. I have the Kittyhawk AH-1Z and the Revell AH-1W, but I also have the Caracal decals for Whiskeys with artwork, and they are all NTS airframes with the turned (horizontal) exhausts. Jens
  19. How difficult would it be to kitbash the KH 1/48 AH-1Z with the Italeri/Revell AH-1W to get a late AH-1W NTS with horizontal exhausts? TIA, Jens
  20. I need to be finished with my conversion before Skunkmodels release the XL-2. :D Jens

    F-16 Aggressor

No, blocks 40/42/50 and 52 all have the heavier landing gear and bulged main gear doors. Apart from that you're right. Jens

    F-16 Aggressor

Unless you have the Thunderbirds kit you will have greater trouble with building an aggressor than just the ACMI pod. Jens
  23. No need to release it. I am already in the process of converting the XL1 to the XL2. Jens
