  1. I use Tamiya gloss white X-2 thinned with Tamiya Laquer Thinner. I build up the colour with my airbrush over a black base colour, and I have absolutely no problem with runs or coverage. Jens
  2. The pictures I have seen of Gypsy 202 show the early style gun vent too. That is also what the Furball instructions say. Jens
  3. That muzzle is not always used. Look at these pictures: http://www.amarc.dk/index.php/gallery-mainmenu-31/26-helicopter-pictures/107-german-navy-lynx-mk-88a-83-18-detail-pictures Jens
  4. It's not just the postage - it's the taxes and customs fees. In Denmark we have to pay 25 per cent of the package value (i.e. goods plus postage) and then an additional fee of approximately $24. That means that the SB order I am now waiting for will cost me $125, and the goods are only $70 of that. That really sucks! Jens
  5. You're welcome, Oliver. Just let me know if you need any other MH-60R detail shots. Jens
  6. Here you go, Oliver. They are the standard USN tanks as fitted to the new Danish MH-60Rs (hence the extra window in the crew cabin). http://www.amarc.dk/images/Seahawk/Aux fuel tank.jpg http://www.amarc.dk/images/Seahawk/Aux fuel tank2.jpg http://www.amarc.dk/images/Seahawk/Aux fuel tank3.jpg http://www.amarc.dk/images/Seahawk/Aux fuel tank4.jpg http://www.amarc.dk/images/Seahawk/Aux fuel tank5.jpg http://www.amarc.dk/images/Seahawk/Aux fuel tank6.jpg http://www.amarc.dk/images/Seahawk/Aux fuel tank7.jpg
  7. I believe this is the right color: Mr Paint Italian Grey Jens
  8. Nope, nobody does, so you will have to convert it yourself if you want a KA-6D. :) Jens
  9. I would recommend the Hobbyboss A-6A or A-6E (depending on your choice of speed brake). They have nice details, great fit and recessed panel lines. Just move the inner wing fences inboard and correct a couple of other very small mistakes and Bob's your uncle. The Kinetic kits also have recessed panel lines but the details are soft, and the fit is not the best. The old Revell/Monogram kits have raised panel lines and poor fit. Details are mostly good but soft in some places. Jens
  10. I would not recommend the CAM decals. I have yet to see markings they didn't screw up. Jens
  11. It is an M3M alright, and it is great to shoot with. ;) Jens
  12. Well, down the drain goes my plan of making 160393 from 1978 and 1984, and 160382 from 1983 and 1984. :( Jens
  13. Are they supposed to be Seahawk fuel tanks? They sure don't look like the ones we have on our MH-60Rs. Jens
  14. Thanks Ben. I've got most of it covered. Most of mine will be without resin cockpit and intakes though as I way too many Phantoms to buy all that resin. ;) Jens
  15. Good to hear you can correct the ventral fin. I believe the wings were white on top in order to reduce heat. I don't recall why it was grey on the bottom instead of white. Iam pretty sure the wings were painted to improve laminar flow, as you mentioned. Jens
  16. Ben, I am curious as to what corrections you are doing on the Hasegawa F-4S. Belly strap, altered vents next to nose gear bay and aux. air intake. Did I miss anything (except for the slat profile)? Jens
  17. Nothing replicates metal like metal. I like the effect you have achieved on some of the panels. The wing had white top sides and ADC grey lower sides though. Also, the ventral fin is mounted backwards. HTH, Jens
  18. Notice the weathered nose tip. The day-glo areas were later outlined with a thin black line. One T-33 even had the demarcation line between the NM and the Aluminum Laquer. Jens
  19. That someone would be me. :) My point is based on what I see in the pictures, and what I know about jets in NM. Danish F-84E/Gs, F-86Ds and T-33As received Aluminum Laquer wings and lower surfaces to protect them from corrosion. I am convinced this was based on USAF T.O.s. The airbrakes on the attached picture are Aluminum Laquer. Jens
  20. Thanks Darren. Fast Eagle 102 it is then I guess. :) Jens
  21. Sorry for (partly) highjacking this thread. Would it be possible to build the two VF-41 Sukhoi killers from the Tamiya kit? As far as I can tell they are in the block 85-95 range. Jens
  22. It's a lot easier to just read a proper review of the Hasegawa kit, so no thanks. Jens
  23. That aggressor scheme is interesting. However, the first interwebs retards have already claimed it's a colour scheme developed to make people on the ground think it is the Russians bombing in Syria when it is really (according to them) the US. Jens
  24. Thanks. Yes, the cameras come in the kit. Apart from the ejection seat and perhaps decals I am not going to use aftermarket parts on this one. Jens
  25. I don't think I have ever seen that configuration on a F-4G. I have seen it on Israeli F-4Es though (1982). Jens
