You mean the round thing, right? Yes, they are nav lights; red on the port wing, blue on the starboard. Jens

Now that's a beautiful pair of adversary Hornets! Jens

So true! The next three adversary Scooter are already in the pipeline. ;) Jens

That's what's keeping me going! B) Jens

Thanks a lot. Jens

Yet all the pictures I have seen of running F-5s the starboard position light looks blue. Jens

Lovely result! Jens

Thanks guys. Jens

Thanks Holmes. GG, I am going to build # 56 in a similar scheme to the one in your picture. I have the Gekko aggressor decals with markings for that one (I don't think # 52 has be made yet). 2011 is year of the Adversary/Aggressor aircraft so I hope I can show you more A-4s later on. Jens

Thanks Mike. I like this scheme, but it's diffucult to get some decent photographs of it - a lot like the European I actually. Thanks. Yes, the ACMI pod does add some colour to a rather dark aircraft. Thanks GG and Robert. The dark scheme was chosen for this model because it hides the rudder cracks better than a lighter scheme would (I have a bunch of other adversary Scooters waiting). Thanks Ken. Jens

Thanks for all the comments. Thanks Ken. What's keeping you from doing it, Robert? It's a very nice kit, and the fit of parts is good too (dry-fitting required though). Tak Mikkel. Thanks John. I have just checked my pictures, and you are absolutely right. I should have dropped the flaps instead. Jens

This is another model I brought to the most recent Danish model contest. It's the Hasegawa kit, which is basically rather nice, but this particular model was close to end up in the garbage can several times. The plastic cracked for some odd reason, but luckily I managed to repair most of it. The cracks in the rudder was left untouched though. Jens

I finished my first AFV Club F-5E a week before this year's first Danish model contest (last weekend). Now I have managed to shoot some decent pictures of it too. And the result of the contest. I have a bunch of these to build so any critique is very welcome. Jens

Brad, this thread is worthless without pictures, you know. ;) Jens

I think priority shipping means something else than 'getting the kit first' in this case. AFAIK there is a slower way of shipping too, so that would make sense. There are other speciel things about this kit than just the box. For instance, it includes decals for four extra airframes, so they would also have had to set up two packing lines. We get a standard kit but with extra parts, a special box and the option to buy another kit without all the extras. Added to that is the free shipping. Now, if someone complains about that I simply don't understand why they ordered the kit in the first pla

Eduard - you guys dropped the ball on the MiG-21 thing!
JEN722 replied to Jennings's topic in General Discussion
Where on Eduard's site did it say that the subscribers kits were to be shipped before the ordinary ones? There are a number of special things about the subscribers kit, but I don't think the right to being the first with a brand new MiG-21 in hand was one of them. My point exactly! If there is nothing else to complain about, let's complain about not being first! If you want the pre-order kit it shouldn't make any difference to you if they withdraw the money the day you order it. While this might not be the case here I fully understand why people and/or companies want the payment when the -
Did you guys not read the terms of the deal? Eduard clearly stated that the kits would be sent out after March 15th. If you ordered in early February it is your own fault that Eduard has had your money for 1½ months. Jens

I don't see what the problem is. As Stefan mentioned, the Eduard site makes it pretty clear that the pre-order kits would be sent after March 15th. If you paid in early February you cannot really blame Eduard for holding your money for 1½ months. No matter when you paid your kit would be sent after March 15th. Why pay earlier than late February then? Why blame Eduard because you did not read or understand the terms of the deal?! Jens -
The colour of Red 49 looks more like FS 36251 - compare it to the Ghost scheme F-5E in the background. Jens

LF: 1/48 Danish TF-104G markings
JEN722 replied to kg4kpg's topic in The Spares Box - add scale to your title
Right, I have just finished setting up a walk-around gallery of RT-654: RT-654 gallery. I also have a feature article about Danish Starfighters on my website. HTH, Jens -
I am not certain the 527 AGRS actually used ADC grey for their F-5Es. I know TwoBobs states that on the instructions, but that doesn't mean it's the truth. The overall grey F-5Es from 527 AGRS appear very patchy in their finish, and the also appear darker than FS16473. For some reason the 527th used their own interpretation of patterns and colours. Chris, let me know if you want me to upload some pictures of RT-654. Jens -

If you do get hold of the Hasegawa decals, please note that RT-654 was kept in a rather good condition, i.e. semi-gloss paint with very little weathering. HTH, Jens -
I feel very inspired. So much, in fact, that I never finish any of my models either! Jens
