  1. Take into account that the chalk darkens when you topcoat it. Stop applying when you think you've almost got enough then use dullcote. (Just saw Mightmax mentioned this)
  2. Thanks Joel didn't use black base though.
  3. Dave I have these Q2 builds I'd be willing to donate for the Museum but I have no way to ship without the possibility of damage. I also have the Hasegawa RF and Impact decals as it was going to be added to my Q-2 collection. I'd be willing to build it and add it to the donation. I have the Impact decals for the EA-6A but no kit. As it was meant to be added to my collection if we can figure out the logistics of the others I'd be willing to let them go. I was walking past the approach end of Bogue field in March '83 when this one did a touch and go and experienced 2 compressor

  12. Interested in seeing VMFA 122 and 225's B markings and 314's C markings in the years to come
  13. I just received this sheet but am wondering if the data is printed in the correct color. It looks too dark, almost like 36118-the color of the plane. Has anyone used them? Sacrificed one data decal is lighter than 36118
  14. This is Hasegawa's A-4C with Steel Beach resin nose/Instrument panel and MAW decals

  16. It can be made a challenge. The lower forward wing/fuselage join although addressed in the latest issue of the kit still needs a bit more plastic removal to achieve a good fit. The wingtip nav lights are too small for the openings-1/16" filler at the back of the light opening corrects this. The wingtip speed brakes if modeled closed can benefit from the addition of some plastic card on the top pieces to eliminate a step between the brake and wing thickness. Only real issues I can think of. My third Kinetic Prowler.
  17. With Aires cockpit and Flying Leatherneck decals
