  1. Hi all! I've decided to stop drooling over everyone's excellent work and decided to build one (finally!). The kit I've chosen is the Hasegawa 1/72 VE-11 Thunderseeker kit from Macross. I'm a huge Macross fan and I've always had a particular fondness for rare and special variants. I've only seen the Thunderseeker from art books and drawings online and was genuinely pleased to see Hasegawa releasing this variant. The kit is essentially a VF-11 Thunderbolt with a sensor dish slapped on to its back. Interestingly, it doesn't feature any additional gear like the venerable VE-1 Elintseeker. For th
  2. What are you talking about? The Messiah do look like a hero jet. Didn't you notice the loud color scheme with its glaring white with red and black stripes? its design was supposed to invoke the image of the VF-1. No inside source, he just read something called Macross Chronicles. :) Frontier the US? Galaxy is China...? Where did you get that idea? It's obvious Galaxy is Communist Russia and Frontier is the Free World!
  3. Dang it. Now you guys got my interest. But unlike "elsewhere", here I don't have to contend with overzealous Macross wannabe fanboys(read: whiners) who nitpick every single term you use when describing anything remotely related to Macross. But I'll stop my bitching here because it had nothing to do with what I'm gonna add to the thread. Ahem. Basically, the VF-171 was the economy version of the highly effective and proven VF-17 "Nightmare" Stealth Valkyrie. The Nightmare Plus was basically a simplified variant with no stealth systems installed and with standardized cockpit controls and armam
  4. Hi, does anyone has the VFA Productions TUDM/RMAF 1/32 F-5E decal sheet that they're not using and is willing to part with it? Let me know. Thanks.
  5. That statement proves you are NOT a true Macross fan. You should go watch Robotech instead.
  6. I will pretend I didn't read that and assume that was a joke statement. On the other hand, Two-Mix make good music. But you're 14 years too late...
  7. I made it to easy to guess where I live. Yes, I am in good ol' Casa Grande. Great to know you folks in AZ. :D
  8. First of all, I'm not a Zentradi. Even if I were, I'd be a Meltrandi. They look hotter. :) Secondly, HWR MKII has explained why the SV-51 will never win better than I can. His words are canon and are based of established info. I know because I own the Macross Chronicles (aka the Macross Encyclopedia) which collaborates what he said. Thirdly, a machine is only as good as its operator. Arguably the SV-51 is a great variable fighter but aside from their two aces D.D. and Nora, the rest suck and it can be seen from the number of them getting shot down by UN forces. Fourthly, this is anime. Get
  9. Hello folks, Very long time lurker and essentially super rare poster. I am an amateur and I haven't build any jets since I was 15.It was due to the encouragement and influence of my best friend Skull Leader that got me back into the hobby. After a great deal of procrastination and general laziness, I finally build something. Here are some of the pics. Comments are welcome. Cheers!
  10. Gundam...Wing? Wow...you need to get out more... No wait, you need more REAL anime in your diet! Go watch something cool and good at the same time. Here are my suggestions: Wings of Honneamise Legend of the Galactic Heroes The Cockpit Zipang Rescue Wings Tytania Planetes If you really must have Gundam, then I suggest Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory which is arguably one of the better ones out there. If you prefer grittier story then the 08th MS Team would be your best bet.
  11. Hello Flankerman, Newbie here. I just got a Heller Su-27UB kit from a friend(thanks Jeff!) which I had plan to build into a RMAF Su-30MKM. After watching the amount of details and work you put into it, my jaw dropped and I must say I am very impressed. I will be using your build up as my guide to produce my work and I just want to say thank you for the pics!
