  1. Can't forget the B-29's used to make the Tu-4. My link
  2. These historic shots are great! Keep 'em coming. :D
  3. Don't get too excited, it's been about 6 years since I've actually completed a kit (funny how that's about the same age as my oldest kid!). But this is as good a reason I've ever had to get back in full speed. I'd really like to do another one in honor of my dad and the late Gen. Peterchief, we'll see what I can scrounge up.
  4. I got a little thrown off with the change in forum names and totally missed this thread! Put me in for the F-100D. Sounds like fun! Heck I've already done it once when I was a teenager so I should be able to do a little better now, especially with appropriate decals vs the hand painted attempt on this one.. maybe a little less dust as well! Now where do I find a Monagram F-100..
  5. The F-86 is nice.. looks like a bit of a self portrait in that ultra-polished alluminum.
  6. Wow, I just learned something! Thanks for the post.
  7. Beautiful photos! The first one is my favorite, I love the colors.
  8. You've got a couple of years on me then, I would have been max 6 years old at the time. Like this? Dad did the F-84 and F-4C in the 80's, finished with a brush, I did the rest in the early 90's after graduating to an airbrush! They are all starting to show a little wear and tear. Wish I wouldn't have put those three Mavericks on the Viper I don't believe there were any decals available at the time so most of the unit specific stuff is hand painted, and it shows! I'll definately being looking for those decals coming soon. It will be a great reason to build that new Tamiy
  9. Thanks guys. When I heard about the helicopter - fixed wing transfer, I thought 'oh big deal, another silly wing walking stunt'. I wasn't even planning on taking photo's of it until I saw the chopper basically landing on top of the stearman. I'm not entirely sure, but I think the two were actually making contact in that photo. It took them several passes to get the transfer right, and after that one the chopper pilot waved off and had the wing walker inspect the top of the wing for damage. They finally got it on the next pass. It was pretty cool and all but I'd really rather not see anyb
  10. Terre Haute Airshow this weekend, I was only there for the last few hours but here are a few of my photos.
  11. Phantom Two, Sorry for the delay in my reply but I've been away from work, and therefore my fast internet connection all weekend. I don't remember the F-100 deployment, I guess I was a bit young at the time! And yes, I did have family with the 181st, my dad is 'Ike' if that means anything to you. That is his jet '780' in the background of the Norway photo. I finally got some of my photos cleaned up from the other weekend, here they are: Like I said before, I was pretty upset with the overall quality due to my imcompetence, but live and learn!
  12. Cool video, nightmare senario for GOC. Diversions are bad!
