Well its been over a year simce my last vacation, figured this week is as good as any. Working on the Spit sure beats watching daytime TV. Thank god for the Military Channel and reruns of Red Sox spring training games. Funny thing is I bet the finished model won't get any more attention past "Okay, let's see the next one."

I'll be there. I even took a vacation this week to finish my Spitfire for the show.

Are you sure that they were -3's. I have a book that states that the only absolute differance between the -3 and -5 was the paint job. The switch to GSB was made with the changover to F6F-5 production. Therefore, no -3's would have been painted in GSB. But if the trainers were repainted post war, maybe GSB would have been used.

Look like Cape Cod will be too far east for this. I still wish they didn't take the F-15s from Otis. :wacko:

Here's my build. 1/48 Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I by Pegasus. The kit cost only $11. I used MM enamel paints, Tamiya Weathering Master for the exhust and gun smoke stains, ProModeler "dark" wash for the panel lines and kit decals. I built it plane with the gear up so my 6 year old nephew can hang it from his roof. Enjoy!
