  2. Quick update (no picts) Hit the paints shop with Tamyia AS-12 (thanks to Mike and others who keep recomending for a BMF ) Now patching the bits of missed sanding Dave
  3. A little while ago someone mentioned the possibility of using one of these milk frothers as pait stirrers as the were much cheaper than the badger ones. Well I got a couple and paint stirring has become much easier. All I did was cut the bottom bit back so it would fit in the jars & away I went Ikea paint stirrer Dave
  4. Mr White Putty applied with this & then 800 grit wet sanding Dave

  7. AC2 & AC1 were in use as official designations in early 1942 - when my Grandfather was promoted to AC1 (and then to LAC in Jan 1943. Full dates of promotions 3/7/41 AC2 21/1/42 AC1 1/1/43 LAC 27/9/43 Sgt. - Became aircrew (flight engineer) 27/6/44 F/Sgt. 15/7/44 P/O 15/1/45 F/O
  8. Hi folks It's nice to be back home. Anyway the real question - Did the A-7E appear in US Navy service any colours other that grey/white & if so are there any 1/72 decals for these schemes ? Thanks Dave
  9. Revell give a colour call out of light grey but all the pictures I've seen are a yellow/green colour. Has the colour changed recently or is Revell wrong ? Thanks Dave

  17. Today's update Fuselage closed & main part of the nose added The canopy is just there to get the nose in the correct place & the seat is not glued yet Dave
