  1. I've had good success with solvent based glue like Tenax, Tamiya Extra Thin, etc
  2. Given the popularity of 35th scale for dioramas, having figures and accessories in that scale makes sense.
  3. I couldn't disagree more. I've used the compressor with 3 gallon pancake tank for close to 5 years without any problems at all and couldn't be happier with it. I also use a belt sander, plunge bit router and several other tools that have come from HF and love em. Sorry to hear you had some bad luck with them.
  4. Cool. I saw a 10th scale Saturn V launch....words cannot describe how awesome that was. This isn't my BBII, but it's the same kit. Mine is still in progress
  5. Are you sure about that? I am sure the taxpayers of the United States would have a different opinion after floating the cost of the recent wars. Again....
  6. Regardless of the comfort level of the chair he is sitting in, the operator is still trained military personnel. I don't buy the argument that just because he is in an "easy chair" and not physically in the aircraft he is just going to ditch an aircraft just because it has a mechanical failure. That operator in that "easy chair" is still a trained military operator....not some kid that plays World of Warcraft in his mom's basement. "Son, do you realize you just cost the United States taxpayers 4.5 million dollars? I hope you have a good reason" "Yeah, uh....the plane wouldn't fly no more so
  7. When I watched that trap.....all I can see is that awful movie with that chick with the butt and Ray Charles
  8. do a google image search for "street sweeper bristles"
  9. No...if it had a wing like yours I would have gone for it. The one they had stuck up more and had a huge end plate. I do feel that it needs something in the back...the front end looks so aggressive and the back just kinda peters out style wise.
  10. Nope....FAR148 is right. Those are street sweeper bristles
  11. The Evo is rare? Well, you should come out to Everett, WA.....the dealership I bought my SE from has like 5 of em. Stay away from the dual clutch MR model. I test drove one...that thing is the worst ride ever. It does all the shifting for you. And it is BUMPY! Even when flipped into manual mode....it just doesn't work very well and jerks you all over the place. You are much better off with the GSR. Plus...the GSR looks a little meaner. BTW....if you like that body style, better get one now. The "Shark nose" is getting replaced next year
  12. Gas mileage was not the only "economical" factory that went into my decision. The amount I would be paying to local law enforcement was a factor in the decision process as well! That said, I can see this car getting me into some trouble. I took it for a spin up a country highway this morning, just cruising along....looked at the speedometer...BAM! 85 without even knowing it. I am so impressed how that CVT lays down the power. And the gadgets! I was messing around while my daughter had her guitar lesson, I connected my cell to the car via blue tooth and then streamed my mp3 collection on my ph
  13. Thanks guys! I took it for a little drive this morning. Fun car to drive. Mr. B....yeah this is a great place to live. We are kind of out in the country a bit, we have a lot of wooded area....I have deer and coyotes in the woods across the street, and a hawks like to come and nest there also....but we are about 5 minutes from a major shopping area and I can be in downtown Seattle in less than 20 minutes so we are still close enough to civilization. I love it here
  14. Welcome Davegee, Are you talking about scale plastic models of rockets? I am an avid amateur rocketeer. I design and fly and occasionally sell my own designs. Currently I am building a 1:6th scale Black Brandt II that will fly on G motors
  15. I am starting a new career in real estate and my wife didn't think it was a good idea to drive clients around in my thrashed 2002 Chevy Cavalier so she OK'ed a new car. My "next car" was going to be a Dodge Challenger R/T, but it wasn't very economical....I would have put all my commission into the gas tank! So I settled on this little beauty... A 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer SE. She had 14 miles on her when I drove off the lot this afternoon. I love that new car feel! It's got a CVT transmission, which is a first for me....one thing I've noticed is the power is immediate. I stab the accelerator
  16. Sadly, we lost a really great shop when American Eagles closed it's doors after almost 50 years. Make sure you get up to Paine Field in Everett and check out Paul Allen's Flying Heritage Collection. While at Paine Field, you can see if you can get a tour of the ME-262 Project. Galaxy is OK. Skyway is always great...there is a new place I've been going to in Bothell called Don's Hobby Shop. It's a pretty small place, but it's in a train....so that's kinda cool. He has a bunch of older stuff that is hard to find and can order just about anything else
  17. There is a shop here in Seattle that has a 3D printer. It turns out decent stuff, but as stated....very rough. It will be awhile before it gets to the point where we are making model parts with them. They also have a 3D scanner, which can scan something and then print it in 3D. They made a bust of the owners head...was pretty cool
  18. HAHAHA! Perfect timing. I just clicked the link as my wife was telling me a story about an idiot co worker from the other room....she got the the end...RIMSHOT!
  19. Lookin good. I am building a custom Space Marine chapter right now based on the Spartans. I found a cool site that sells head swaps with the Spartan helmets designs. Normal troops get standard helmets, vets and sergeants get flumes. Still haven't actually played a 40K game....all the shops around here are very gung-ho and seem more interested in serving up new players as cannon fodder rather than teaching them the game.
  20. Now there is an idea for a diorama!
  21. Oh God man! Garden State was such a crap movie.
