  1. Wow...that Kinetic Hawk is really looking great. Nice job Alf
  2. I haven't been able to capture it on film yet, but I have been hearing and getting glimpses of Boeing's DreamLifter cargo plane lately. Yesterday I came out of the grocery store in time to see it pop through an opening in the clouds and disappear in another bank. That thing is LOUD. On Saturday morning, I was heading across the Puget Sound on one of the ferry's and saw a P-51D with invasion stripes. The sun was glinting off the nose in a way I couldn't tell what kind of coloring it had up front, but with how low it was and it's direction of flight, my buddy and I assumed it was heading to Pay
  3. So Gary.....by your logic, anyone who purchased and built a Hobbyboss F/A-18 is guilty of counterfeiting by association since the Hobbyboss kit was clearly a copy of the Hasegawa kit?
  4. I typically tape the model together...at least the major components...and sit the model on the gear and start adding weight until the nose comes down and rests on the gear.
  5. Sadly....Skyway is a shadow of what it once was.
  6. I cannot stand Frog Tape. I used it for painting a wall and ended up having to re-trim everything because the Frog Tape did not do what it was supposed to do.
  7. Hey guys, I've got a question....I am trying to separate the heads from about 45 plastic Space Marines. The heads were attached using Tamiya Extra Thin Cement. Will the freezer trick work on these? I've put models in the freezer before and had great success....but that was back when I was using the good old "Model Cement" in the orange tube. If the freezer trick will not work, any one have any tips for taking apart models built with solvent based glues?
  8. Sorry gang, I had a bit of studying for an exam to do and got a little backlogged. I'll get the list of entries updated in the next day or two
  9. Wrong section partner! This is the "Hobby Shop Diretory".....try one down for the trading post.
  10. Hey, looks great. You should come over and join us in the "Yes, Size Does Matter" group build!
  11. Go up to Everett and check out the Flying Heritage Museum that Paul Allen has put together....GORGEOUS aircraft
  12. +1 I mean seriously....are you freaking kidding me? A little bunny offends you? Get a grip on reality. So....that would be pretty much open to anything?
  13. October is the warmest time of year in San Francisco, not sure what there is to see military wise up there. I was in LA during Thanksgiving this last year and it was 85, Vegas was a little colder the next week but still warm enough to not need a jacket. In Long Beach you can find the USS Iowa. I went in November and enjoyed it. They just opened to the public and are still working on it so the tour is constantly growing. In San Diego, you can visit the USMC Aviation museum at Marimar and then head to the water front and check out the USS Midway. The Midway has been converted to a museum with t
  14. WOWOWOWOWOWOW! That wood finish looks incredible! Great job!
  15. Dang Anthony......you continue to blow my mind on this build. When I first heard what you were doing, I was like "Why bother? It already looks so good"....but your work has taken what is already a great base and just elevated it to a whole new level. Keep it up!
  16. Social media is a joke, as is the internet in general....."The great information superhighway" that was supposed to bring us together.....when in reality it has made us even farther apart and rendered a majority of society complete and utter morons. Computers, rather than becoming the tools that would set us free and make our lives easier have become little more than expensive ways to deliver *********ography to the masses. We have lost the ability to hold intelligent conversations, now we all speak in some pseudo proto language that defies logic and defend those who have lost the ability to u
  17. No lead changes during an F1 race you say? Never seen that happen before.
  18. It's things like this that make me count my blessings I have great hobby shops in my area so I don't have to resort to ordering my supplies.
  19. wait wait wait....let's back up here. "Panel Line Accent Color"? I didn't even know such thing existed. What is that, like an ink or something?
  20. Sorry....doesn't belong here. Taking my post to a private message with it's intended party so not to turn this thread into a political or religious debate
  21. WOW! Love that camo. What did you use for the shoulder straps on the pilots? Great touch BTW. An often overlooked detail!
  22. Wow. This is the first I have seen of the Academy kit, but it builds into a beauty. Nicely done. I can't tell from the pics, but it looks like the nozzles from the Revell mudhen have more detail....I wonder if they could be used on the Academy kit? Anyway....great build. I really like the weathering on it.
