  1. The metal gear will hold up fine. Just make sure you put plenty of weight in this sucker. Are you folding the wings? If so, it requires a lot of weight. I put in 90 grams of lead, and it still wasn't enough to keep it from being a tail-sitter. The folded wings add a lot of weight behind the main landing gear. Good luck!
  2. Build complete after much delay. Check out the completed builds thread.
  3. Bigasshammm gave you instructions on how to post pictures early in the thread. What part of those instructions wasn't clear to you? We can help once you tell us what you are having issues with. Also, your postings are difficult to read and decipher due to a lack of punctuation in needed locations, misspellings and an over-reliance on texting abbreviations. More people might respond to your questions once they can understand them. Cheers
  4. A far too busy summer has kept this build off the bench and gathering dust. It's time to move forward again! Paint is well along, have some touch-up work to do on overspray. Getting close to installing landing gear and such.
  5. Really nice work, I had never heard of this particular plane before. Nice topic to pick!
  6. Sweet paint work! In awe of just how realistic that looks.
  7. Thanks Ken. Long overdue update, finally finished seam work and put primer and preshading down. Painting has begun. Woot!
  8. More progress. With a little modification, the Eduard PE instrument panels fit. PE instrument panel looks great. PE seatbelts and such help liven up the tragic kit seat. While not dead-on perfect, it does look suitably busy. And lastly, cockpit installed, fuselage closed up and wings on. Fit is good so far. Some seams to deal with but nothing major. Cheers
  9. I'll echo other comments and congratulate you on great paint work, particularly the AF version. :D
  10. Cockpit is assembled and ready for paint work. Very basic, decals for instruments but I'll attempt to use the Eduard pre-painted PE as replacements. The Italeri cockpit is clearly undersized compared to the Hasegawa cockpit the PE is sized for, some modification is required. Speaking of undersized, the True Details seat is simply too large to use in the cockpit. I'll have to use the ridiculously crappy kit seat. This thing is a joke. But I'll soldier on and spruce it up with the Eduard PE. I hadn't decided whether this would be open or closed cockpit. With that seat, closed cockpit
  11. I'll be starting Italeri's 1/48 A-4F Skyhawk, which is a re-issue of the ESCI kit. Not much AM other than a True Details bang seat, Eduard PE and masks. I'll likely use ordnance from the Hasegawa weapon sets.
  12. Wow, well done! Love the weathering, and sweet weapon loadout as well.
  13. Yeah, that particular camera doesn't have the best reviews. But that being said, it should still shoot average pictures. I'd recommend posting some pics anyway so we can perhaps see what the issue is and help diagnose solutions. One of the most common mistakes I've seen from those unfamiliar with digital photography is not putting the camera in macro mode. The camera focuses on something in the background making the foreground object (the model) blurry and out of focus. Don't know if that's the issue here, but until we see pics we can't help. Cheers
  14. I'm in with a couple of builds. 1/48 Revell F-14D and 1/48 Monogram OSU-2 Kingfisher. Maybe I'll fit in a AV-8B if time permits.
  15. This isn't a Photobucket issue per se, but a browser security function. If you have the browser security set high, then it may not remember passwords (even if you click "remember this password") and will be hyper viligant in verifying the authenticity of websites you visit. I've noticed Internet Explorer can be...inconsistent with this however. Don't know what browser you are using.
  16. How about this one? Wha...wait, how much?! :) It's a gorgeous model, but jeez.
