  1. I belive there is not much difference, MT was built for export but according to web only 15 were built and none were exported. I also think MT was derived from M or MF version and SMT was derived from S or SM variant. Later on SMT was retrofitted with bis hump (spine) hence ST variant. It had same engine and intake as MF/SMT but bis hump. With Eduard bis kit you can also build this variant (ST) since there is intake ring for MF in the box, only have to find decals. There are some images of yellow 76 and yellow 40. But there are so many variants it is hard to tell...
  2. Hi... My come back to model building after quite a while. Both Eduard Weekend kits in 1/48, both Migs... Mig-21bis Croatian Air Force and Mig-21MT Soviet Air Force. Some aftermarket parts, photoetch cockpit parts and resin seats. There are some beginners mistakes since I'm little rusty, MT lost some of the panelling during painting because panel lines are so shallow on Eduards kits. Also because of that I did not use decals for Croatian checkers pattern but I painted it. Wasn't sure if large decals would set in panels as I wanted them. Outdoor images taken with
  3. Thanks everybody.. As far as I know (but I may be wrong), when landing gears are down main intakes are closed and auxiliary are opened. This prevents foreign objects entering engine while on ground. Plan was to make guards for aux intakes. By the way I also did not make mudguards on front wheels because I saw on real aircraft photos that Yu Migs had them removed oftenly. Thanks Dragan. I think next will be Spitfire. Not sure yet...
  4. Few more images: Thanks for watching...
  5. Hello... My latest build, Italieri Migs 29 in 1/72. Models represent Yugoslav Air Force single-seater and double-seater from 1980's. Single-seater got resin nose, cockpit, seat and afterburners with some photo-etched parts. Double-seater got PE cockpits, resin seats and afterburners. Since both models have incorrect noses I used resin correction for single-seater. As for double-seater, I used nose that I cut from single-seater because it is more accurate for double-seater. I also made some other corrections on landing gear, and added hydraulics and other scratch built parts. Decals are
  6. Great looking model... My favorite bomber airplane...
  7. Thanks... What markings would You make? If You have Lancer cockpit than I think You can use it only to build Lancer. Croatian Migs got only navigation and communication equipment upgraded. The cockpits of Croatian Migs are mostly ordinary bis and UM variant with addition of few instruments that integrate new navigation and communication. This was done to get NATO interoperability. No other system got some significant upgrade as far as I know. Radar, weapon, engine etc. are only overhauled in Romania.
  8. At the end I'm not entirely satisfied with outcome but I'm happy that models are done at last. Thanks for watching...
  9. Hello... After long build finally models are finished. These are Croatian Air Force Mig-21UMD and Mig-21bisD. D letter stands for "upgraded" in Croatian. Migs got this designation after overhaul in Romania. Anyway, models are Trumpeters 1/32 Migs. I used Eduard exterior and interior sets, True Details seats and lot of scratch build. BisD nosecone is made in turning lathe machine and is made of steel so in addition to correct shape it is nose weight also. I also added hydraulic and pneumatic pipes on wheel struts and in wheel bays, made a number of small antenna, static dischargers, correc
  10. Hello... I started making base for the models. I got the paper with concrete texture and glued it to the base. I did little weathering to it to get realistic look. Real airplanes do not stand so close on runaway but there is limitation with space on the base. Little vegetation in gaps. Cell phone images, low light...bad quality :(/> Thanks for watching...
  11. UMD almost done too. Only small details left to be done, and base of course: Thanks for watching.
  12. Small update: BisD almost finished: Images taken with cell phone camera so colors seems little too bright. UMD is waiting for the finish. Thanks for watching...
  13. Happy New Year to all! Here is the small update. I've been doing some work through the holidays. Images taken with cell phone camera: Greetings...
