Well, what can I say...
Pretty rough times for the local paint-shed around here.
The local weather is still a major player. About two weeks ago I had some
high hopes... Unfortunately the temp's are still fluctuating quite a bit.
At first thing's were looking better but than "the Lord of Winter" decided
to strike another blow. Temp's dropped below freezing level again and the last
two day's we even had some snow...
In the mean time the two Draken's are lying around, fully prepped & ready to
receive their splash of paint. Hopefully those darn temp's will go up soon !!!
"Check Six...."
Spooky.
I've got my fingers crossed for you, my friend! We've had some snow as well,
but lucky me having the paint booth inside my warm apartment, just putting
the fan duct out the window, so low temp doesn't bother me. :D
Will try to do another update by tomorrow..

Hey everyone, might actually get somethings done on this monster today. Home sick with 2 of my 4 kids so when I get a chance I am going to start rescribing the plane. This is one big plane and well until I get the Eduard PE set from Spooky, hint hint, hehe, I will be forced to delay the closing of the fuselage. The plane has recessed panels lines but I want to be able to do a nice wash and well they are very shallow, so I would like to dig them out just a bit.
Well I did some thing that I never thought I would do. I cut the nose off, but it was a planned cut. I have the Zactomans nose intake and canopy correction set so of course I had to cut the nose off to use the new one. Unfortunately I didnt get any before shots, but I have 4 after shots of the nose. Wish me luck on this one. Well here are the 4 shots hope you all like them!
As always Happy Modelling and comments are welcome and wanted!
Sure looks great, as always, JMan..! Can't stop looking at that pit,
it's for sure one of the best I've seen..!

I just can't wait for Your next WIP to kick off. Man, are YOU gonna get it !!!

"Check Six....."
Spooky.
Just because of that, I will start a new WIP tonight, how about that..?! :P
Just bring it on, dude, just bring it on...... :D :P

Nice progress, she looks great..!!
-
BTW, nice little yellow lemon You've got there !
"Check Six....."
Spooky.
Yeah, isn't she..?
How is your paint session coming along..? You've gotta keep pace now
on this mini-GB...!

-
P.S. Spooky I cant wait to get that Eduard photo etching, the avionics bays will look sweet with them. Do you know how long it will take for that to get to me once you get it in the mail? Hopefully though you get that Eduard PE set to me sooner that you have given us pictures of your builds.............LMAO
You know I love you Spooky.......... ;)That's the way, JMan, just throw it in his face..!!

Very nice!

Will you wait for the TwoBobs decals for this one?
Hey, Spooky, don't look at me!

Thanks Moritz! :)
Actually I've already got decals for this one, produced by a local Swedish
manufacteror named Red Bolt. Out of business nowadays, but a few years
back he did some really nice decals for Swedish aircraft.
But I will of course get the TwoBobs sheet anyway. Maybe I'll do another
one some day, just for fun.. ;)

I've told you before, my friend, stop mixing with those ground-target-thingies..!

Noce wheel bay sure looks as neat as the main gear bays. This will be one awesome
model, that's for sure!

I am building this kit at the moment, but I'm not all that impressed.
It for sure is far better than the Hasegawa, yes, but in some places
it just seems over-engineered. Sub-sections are built up of too many
parts, which gives unnecessary seams to deal with.
The Tamiya F-16 in 1/48 scale literally falls together on its own, this
kit does not. Nevertheless, it is a very good kit, and it even comes
with some load, which Hasegawa's don't. Would I buy another one?
Already did...
Would I recommend it? Definately! -
Now that's one great looking Tiffie!

-
You're nuts bro..!
Awesome plumbing job tho....

-
Nice looking Viggen, well done on that paint job! Looks great!
-
Agree with Aigore, that pit looks just awesome!!
Well done, JMan...!

-
That easy, huh?! Well done!! :)
Didn't think those exhausts looked so good OOB, but I was
obviously wrong.. :P
-
Hmmm yeah, but is it similar to Light gRay? Gull gray? Ghost Gray?
The only paint brand NEAR me is MM, so I have to move within that range...
Take Care!!
That I don't know. But it's fairly light. Best thing is to compare photos
to your paint brand. Personally I would go for the Airbus Grey, why not
order it from somewhere? I'm pretty sure Airline Hobby Supplies has it..
-
That's a great looking Hornet, well done on that paint job!
Is it the Steel Beach intake covers? Aires exhausts?
-
Now that's a neat looking Viggen! The paint job looks
really great, as does the build overall.

-
Nice progress, love the details!
-
Here you got it, dudes! The Alclad is on!
I actually have two shades of Alclad on this one, but it doesn't
show all that well.. I'll weather it really heavy later, as this area
of the Draken wasn't that clean even on a freshly painted jet..

-
Nice paint job, looks really great!
-
Those colors looks just great! Well done on the painting!
-
Too bad you don't have a camera, just as this one becomes really interresting!

Looking really good so far though..!

-
I do believe Xtracolor has that one in their range.
Ought to be called something like Airbus Grey actually..
-
Coming together really nice there...!

Right now it pretty much just looks like a mess, but I do know,
that when you get that paint on, it will look awesome!
And those bits and pieces of plumbing sure are small....
