You know we can't wait either, JMan..!
And don't you worry, me, Spooky and Aigore will of course derail this
WIP with our usual BS as well, you be so sure..!

Shoot, You've got me soo worked up by Your last comment that I even
mis-spelled it !!! (or "AH" after all...)
"C2 & Fast Jet's till the day I die !!
"Check Six....."
Spooky.
LOL, then I'll get you even more worked up when I say I haven't had the
time to take any photos for tonight, but she looks really great!

Will have them for you by Monday, Spooky....

-
LOL nooooooo!
but if others don´t want to read the BS then they can scroll down so the BS won´t upset them :)
I quite enjoy the BS :)
I don't see how anything of our lovely BS can be upsetting people! It's just a way
of spending time here, checking for updates, until those pics actually arrives! In a
way you could say it's a way for us to say to you: BUILD FASTER INSTEAD OF
SITTING HERE BS:ing WITH US!!!
:rofl:More BS to the people!!!

Guess I'll have to listen to you guys when I get around at painting
my Viggen family project...
By the way, it's looking really good, dragan_mig31...
-
Felix, you might be on to something here......

-
This is starting to get really interresting!
Looking great so far, can't wait to see it painted!

-
Thanks for the kind words, guys!

You sure are right, GCA333..!

Mine is a liiiittle cleaner than usually, but it just came out
of the washing hangar...

Take a look at THIS one..!
The real version of my Airbus, same registration and all..

-
Was already wondering when this one was going to show up...
Now I realy need tomake some progress on those Austrian bird's of mine !!!
If I could only find those blasted paint-jar's...
"CHERNAYAAKULA...!!!"

"Check Six....."
Spooky.
You're sure right about that, my friend! You were ahead of me a few weeks
ago, but now you're just a tiny dot in my Draken's rear view mirrors...!

But I do cross my fingers for some heat at your place, so you can start painting
some lovely Drakens!
And yes, you can use Angelina for that heat, as long asyou get those darn aircraft painted sometime...!!

-
Sure, go right ahead my friend: rubb in real good !!!
Just what I need after a long day amongst those rotor-head's...
Hey wait a minute... Aren't You a rotorhead as well...???
OK, that explain's it all!!!

"Check Six....."
Spooky.
Takes one to know one, eh..!?

I did put some Alclad on my Draken tonight, on the gear doors (inside, of
course), and its belly. I DO love Alclad, that stuff is just awesome!!

Pics will appear in the WIP by tomorrow night..

I'm really bad at starting those WIP topics when I actually start building the
kit, so here's yet another one which is pretty near its end. :P
It's the Hasegawa offering of Draken, in 1/72 scale. I have quite a few Draken
decals lying around, so I thought I should use one of them to make a not very
commonly seen aircraft.
First I started off with the pit. My intention have always been a closed canopy,
so I didn't put very much effort in this area. Just painted it green and used
kit decals. Good enough this time.

With the cockpit installed, it was time to close up the fuselage, and clear up
the seams. Nose, tailcone and wings went on as well, before it was time for
the primer.

As you can see, white primer was my choice this time. Not a real primer,
just some Gunze white. Looking back on it, I really should have used a
true primer, like the Tamiya fine surface primer. Oh well, this was good
enough for the color coat anyway.. :)
Color coat is yellow. All yellow! This aircraft will be finished with big black
swordfishes on the fuselage-wing extension. I got some advice from a
fellow modeler here in Sweden, and he told me to use the Xtracolour
Blue Angels Yellow. This I did, and here you see the result. Looks rather
spot on to me! :)

Since those two pics, another two coats of yellow has been added. Now I'll
just paint up the metal belly and rear fuselage, and she's ready for decals!
More pics to come.... ;)
-
Now we're talking...! Looking really good already, can't wait to see
her in flying colors!!

-
Please believe me: I realy, realy, realy, realy, realy wanted to put a splash
of colour on them, but somebody has nicked my paint-stash...

I'm telling You: must have been that ChernayaAkula-dude !!!

OK, now THAT's a lame excuse...
"Check Six....."
Spooky.
I've told you before, you have to get a new apartment or house, so you
can start painting indoors..!
I actually put the last layer of yellow on my Draken last weekend. Decals
are next, maybe tonight already... :P
And yeah, sure IS a lame excuse... :P
-
Are you sure this is a model? It's not photos of the real thing..?
Sure looks d****mn fine, very, very good job on this!

-
Good for you, JMan, that's really great news!

Now bring on that Corsair..!

-
A tidious job, removing those fairings, but it looks like it was worth it.
The paint job looks really great on there, RedFlag! Well done!!

-
Thanks guys!
Airliners scare me. All the big, white, shiny surfaces.
Nah, don't be scared, Moritz, there are v-e-r-y dirty airliners as well, so you
should be just fine doing one!

It's actually a nice break from those dirty war machines, once in a while.
Not so many parts, and often one or two colors.. :P
-
Well done!
-
Thanks a lot guys for all the nice comments!

-
Those MI-8's are just three stunning builds! All of them look really great, I must say!
-
I have just realised.......
If anyone is contemplating buying just one of the Hobby Boss Mi-8 kits - then get the Mi-8MT/Mi-17 Hip-H (kit number 87208).
Even if you only intend to make the early Mi-8T, you get the same parts that are in the Mi-8T kit (number 87221).
But - in the Hip-H kit you get some extra parts - such as the longer Doppler box under the tailboom, a small weather radome for the nose and the later heavy-duty winch.
You still have to 'convert' either kit to make a Mi-8T - but the extra bits are useful......
Just a thought...
Ken
Thanks for the heads-up, Ken, I'll for certain keep this in mind!
Hopefully I'll get it half as good as yours..

-
Well, don't know if you know it but I'm just kinda waiting for You my friend...
Spooky, seriously, who're you trying to fool..?! <_<
I'm still waiting on more pics of those Drakens, with paint on this time......

-
Thanks! ;)
Moritz, hopefully I'll have that Draken finished in a couple of weeks, so keep
a lookout at these forums! I'm sure there'll be some WIP pics in a near future...

-
Well done, on both of them! Nice to see some Eastern choppers, for a change!

-
Nicely done paint job!
