Nice going, beautiful paintjob!
-
DON'T make a C if you're going for #131, since it's an A... The C-version started with 208.
I used to work with the Gripen, so if you need any reference, just drop me a PM.

-
Really nice progress! What if I could build that fast...?

-
Will you make this in 1/72 scale as well...? :D
Please, please, please...!

-
My bad, thought it looked a lot like my pre-shading at home..

Nice job anyway, looks really good!
-
Looking really good, especially the subtle pre-shading!

It's been too many days since I posted any updates on my Viper. Maybe because there haven't been any? :D
The time just haven't been there. Anyhow, today I found time!
Painted up the lower fuselage and the fuel tanks. Too bad I forgot to take photos of the tanks though...
The pre-shade is more pronounced IRL, the photos doesn't do justice.

Yeah, I agree, give us some updates! :)
-
Agree with others, looking really good! Love the weathering, it's so subtle and "just enough".. :)
-
Always nice to see a chopper, makes me inspired to start on one of mine.. :) Looking good!
-
Have to agree, looks totally cool!
-
Ah, the usual problem that cameras are enhancing weathering. I totally know what
you're talking about! Would love to see it live, I bet it's a killer!

-
Cool camo, I like it a lot! Nice work! :)
-
Nice looking Viper! Great paintjob! :)
-
Just beautiful. Stunning piece of work..

Well spoken, Supertom! I totally agree with you, the point is to get people to build more, right?!
So why argue so much, what's the point? Guys, concentrate your energy on building those lovely Deltas instead!

I'm in for a Draken or two, perhaps a Viggen too.
-
I'm in, depending on when. Have three Vipers to finish first, for that GB. But a few Viggens or Gripens would be nice..

-
I've been following this thread with great interest. I must say it looks really great, but you ARE nuts for even starting this project!
I'm amazed though, awesome scratch building! -
Cool camo, looks just great!

-
Awesome detailing in that small scale! Beautiful!

Does anyone know when the saab viggen recieved its belly gun.I have both the Heller and Airfix 1/72
viggens and neither have the gun.I know the Airfix one is based on a prototype ,but is the Heller based
on one too or did they enter service without the gun fitted.Once again thanks in advance....Neil
Hello Neil,
As Andre pointed out, the gun pack is only carried by the fighter version of the Viggen, which entered service in 1980. There are now some really good Viggen decals available out there as well, made by a Swedish company called Flying Colors Aerodecals. Those decals are really great, and you can use them for all Viggen versions.
Good luck with your build, would love to see some pics when you get started! ;)
If you need some reference pics, just drop me a PM.

Looking gooooood! :)

Finally, I get to add my contribution to this group build. Both these kits are 1/72 Revell. The first is a F-16 MLU and the second is a F-16B.
Thanks,
Rodney
Looking good there Rodney! I would have preferred a little cleaner MLU and heavier weathering on the Bravo Viper. Norwegian Vipers are seldom seen that dirty.. Nice builds though!

That was one amazing fire extinguisher! Keep up the great work on the F-16, this thread gives me lots and lots of inspiration!
