  1. It's been too many days since I posted any updates on my Viper. Maybe because there haven't been any? :D

The time just haven't been there. Anyhow, today I found time!

Painted up the lower fuselage and the fuel tanks. Too bad I forgot to take photos of the tanks though...

The pre-shade is more pronounced IRL, the photos doesn't do justice.

  2. Does anyone know when the saab viggen recieved its belly gun.I have both the Heller and Airfix 1/72

viggens and neither have the gun.I know the Airfix one is based on a prototype ,but is the Heller based

on one too or did they enter service without the gun fitted.Once again thanks in advance....Neil

    Hello Neil,

As Andre pointed out, the gun pack is only carried by the fighter version of the Viggen, which entered service in 1980. There are now some really good Viggen decals available out there as well, made by a Swedish company called Flying Colors Aerodecals. Those decals are really great, and you can use them for all Viggen versions.

Good luck with your build, would love to see some pics when you get started! ;)

If you need some reference pics, just drop me a PM.

  3. Finally, I get to add my contribution to this group build. Both these kits are 1/72 Revell. The first is a F-16 MLU and the second is a F-16B.

    Thanks,

    Rodney

Looking good there Rodney! I would have preferred a little cleaner MLU and heavier weathering on the Bravo Viper. Norwegian Vipers are seldom seen that dirty.. Nice builds though!
