Looking very good! How did you convert the A318, just chopping fuselage, or something more?
-
Yep, nice looking Vipers there!

-
I'm sorry to hear that Eric. Better luck next time! We do of course want to see your Vipers anyway, whenever they get finished..

As I've said before, this paintjob is just totally outstanding!! I would just love if my birds turned out this well... ;)

I love it, I just love it! It's one of the most beautiful Vipers I've seen. The paintjob is just the best I've ever seen, I can't find words for it!
Totally awesome!

Lovely paintjob, I like odd schemes! Looking really good!

Impressive job on the gear bays! I'd go for the rescribing, since you've already put so much work into it..
-
Agree, looks really good!

Hmm, never thought of that pre-/post-shading version Leopard is talking about. Will absolutely try it out, would sure make a difference! Thanks!

Can't say anything that haven't been said already. Just outstanding build and awesome paintjob! Now that's what I'll try to get my next Tamiya Viper to look like.. :D

How is your method of pre-shading, what are your steps actually? I myself is rather new to this as well, but I've gotten it to work good enough for me so far. :D As the people here says, you should probably thin your top coat a little more.
One of the key steps is to actually fill in the middle of the panel with the top coat first, then overspray the pre-shaded panel lines with care. I do it like this:
1. Pre-shade panel lines
2. Top coat on center of panels and out towards the edges, taking care not to overspray the panel lines.
3. Fine mist of top coat all over, but with care once again, so the pre-shading can be seen (barely, depending on the effect you want) through the top coat.
I'll try to post some pics of each step during the weekend, maybe it could clear things up for you.

Good luck!

Ah, I see. I'll just have to be patient a little bit longer then..

Maybe the Vipers that are supposed to have'em will be finished in time for the release.... :)
