  1. The HB markings are make-believe, IMO. The Begemot diagram is much more trust worthy, and accurate. Note that the banner on the tail of the HB diagram is on the wrong side of the jet! (That's the biggest, most obvious gaff on their part) Use Begemot if you want to do that jet.... M

  3. Are there any kits of Dr Who "characters", such as Cyber Men, Daleks, etc, similar to what Bandai do for Star Wars?? TIA, M
  4. Really?? How much "slightly" North??? M
  5. Squadron list the Hoobyboss 1/48 Su-30MKK as being "in stock" for a price of 65.99. They are also having a "game/sale" right now, where you try to decipher a jumbled word. (It's "Skyhawk" btw) where you enter the word into the coupon box and get 20% off. So with 20% off, and added shipping, it's back to the original price!! I s'pose it could still be full price plus shipping.... Haven't found any other vendors with it in stock. Anyone else found it? M
  6. Thanks for the response. The different descriptor threw me off..... I can see a digital splinter Ukrainian Flanker in my future!!! M
  7. A question for those more knowledgeable about the Su-27 than me..... Looking at the Hobbyboss Su-27 (which I'm finding is not "too" bad of a build) What would need to change to make it into a Su-27S, as flown by Ukraine, with the digital blue camo? Thanks in advance! Matthew
  8. Kind of a shame they didn't make them so the dropped flap wings could slide off and interchange with the kit wings.... M
  9. There are numerous resin correction sets available for this kit. How bad is it out of the box? Are the correction sets essential? I know "it's your build, answer that for yourself", but am interested in the thoughts of those who really know the aircraft. TIA< M
  10. Kursad, EXCELLENT!! Thank you very much. Matthew
  11. I've asked Rene from Mr Paint if they would make the correct colors for the Mirage 2000. He said sure, he would happily do that, as long as he can get correct FS, BS or RAL codes for the shades involved. Would anyone have that info?? I'm also going to ask him to do Australian A-4 Skyhawk colors, but have the BS codes for those. Cheers, Matthew
  12. Tamiya white primer, decanted and thinned with Tamiya lacquer thinner, sprayed in multiple thin layers to build up opacity, then a thin coat of Tamiya TS-26, again, decanted and thinned with tamiya lacquer thinner. Bullet proof!!
  13. I'm worki.g on their Su-27 at present, and it is a fair to above average kit, in my estimation so far. There are some issues with accuracy, and finesse of molding. It's way ahead of the Academy kit though, and the Su-30 will also find it's way to my bench! I hope they do some of the canard jets. M
  14. Duh, got excited when I was typing... Did you try turning the pressure down? M
  15. 5" off the surface is crazy, even 3" is too far away, IMO.... What pressure were you spraying at? M
  16. I contacted Mike a little bit ago, and received this reply.... I'm slogging through the orders as fast as I can. There were a LOT more preorders than I expected, and my plate has been extra full lately, helping my kids out with their school projects. My goal is to be completely caught up within the next week or so. I'll keep you informed. He also mentioned he is a one man shop, with another child on the way, so yeah, he's "busy"!!!! Let's be patient, it will be worth it! M
  17. They do carry it, it's not in stock at present though (at least not at Hobbyworld, haven't checked Red Star...) M
  18. I got mine, finally!!! 3rd times a charm. M
  19. I'm going to be checking my email every minute to see if the notification has come from Sprue!!! :-) M
  20. Agreed, I would have no hesitation in using them again, or recommending them. (Assuming they depict the subject you want to build) M
  21. Lovely! Nice color choice too. RLM 8+ series??
