  5. Thanks so much for the reply but somebody sent me a copy.
  6. Yeah, 89-2020. I just got PM'ed that someone is sending them for me. Thanks, guys!
  7. Is anyone building the Academy 1/32 F-16CG/CJ and not using the Osan AB 51 FW decals?

  10. I use luminous acrylic paint, and weather them along with the rest of the aircraft.
  11. USAF deployed IR Mavericks during DESERT STORM. If I remember correctly, A-10 pilots used them as "poor man's FLIR".
  12. But no RBF flags when on a carrier deck, correct?
  13. Pretty sure its weapons on the forward inboard station of the MER interfering with the main landing gear doors.
  14. Yes, they started adding the heritage "checker tail" design in 2007. https://www.af.mil/News/Article-Display/Article/126187/heritage-tailflash-connects-fighter-past/ I was wanting to do these markings in the earlier style. https://www.markstyling.com/f16_3.htm Might just be easier to go with the checker tail...
  15. I've made my own decals for a few low-viz gray aircraft with pretty good results so far. You're right, colors take a mix of layered decals or carefully painted base layer. And a laser printer is a must! The Furball package isn't from the right time period (looking for years 2006-2008, when I was there) but after taking a close look at all the 51st aircraft included, I might be able to cobble together about 80% solution from what's available...

  18. Thanks. I saw those too but they won't really help. I might just have to try drawing and printing my own but that's a last resort.
  19. Unfortunately, the Hasegawa kit decals have the aircraft I'm building. 51st FW, wing commander's aircraft, #89-2020 Academy has the markings in their 1/72 and 1/32 kits. That's the only other place I've seen those markings available. I think the Academy decals look better but I need them in 1/48.

  23. If you want to fly the bones, VF-84 began doing testing and integration for air to ground ordnance in 1992 until they were disestablished in Oct '95. I don't believe they dropped live rounds during their last cruise in '93 in support of Operations Provide Promise and Deny Flight over the Balkans and Southern Watch over Iraq, just TARPS. https://www.history.navy.mil/content/dam/nhhc/research/histories/naval-aviation/Naval Aviation News/1990/pdf/so95.pdf https://www.seaforces.org/usnair/VF/Fighter-Squadron-84.htm Their mates in CVW-8, VF-41, carried and dropp
