  1. Thanks everybody, for your advice, I bought the kit anyway although after looking at it. It does appear to be a bit podgy compared to other starfighters. Im not scared, I have been viewing the airfix group build over on hyperscale these past few months, and if there is one thing I have taken away from that, its that there is no such thing as a bad kit, only good modelers. Happy new years everyone
  2. Hi everyone, just wondering if this is worth building, from what I can see the wheels are incorrect, and the cockpit could use a bit of a spruce up but it doesnt look like anything too major, am I correct? Also does anybody make any accessories for it?
  3. Ive got one of these on the back burner as well, I glued the shock cones too far externally out of the engine intakes before I realised my mistake and now im summing up the courage to start it all over again, the bomb bay doors are a reall pain in the proverbial as well. Good luck though
  4. :sniff: brnings back memories of RAAFSTT at Wagga and a certain incident where this particular aircraft mysteriously appeared in the WOFF's parking spot. Well done and congratulations on the model.

    Il 38

Wow! thanks Ken I knew I had a lot of work on my hands, I guess the weapons bays can stay closed. I am not looking forward to fairing in that canopy still it will make a worthy adversary for my orion when I build it.

    Il 38

Ok I have bought the monster that is the Amodel Il 38 I was wondering what are some good references for it, I have searched google and airliners.net but cant seem to find any detail shots of it. Is it too classified to photgraph stuff like wheel wells and bomb bays?
  7. I love harriers and I will definitely be watching this build in case I happen to come across this kit
  8. Let me guess you used to work on them in real life, or you take a lot of photos, well done in any case, you have some very creative ideas, keep going
  9. Thankyou very much for that!
  10. Could anybody point me in the right direction as to where I could find some pics of Russian GSE or even better post some on this forum? many thanks in advance
  11. I love Battletech, I bought the current Box set a couple of months ago and I am enjoying painting the mechs. It didn't really take off in Australia like it did in the Europe and the US, but there are still a few of us about.
  12. I have only just discovered this thread, you are doing some fantastic work on this mig I have been thinking of trying to tackle this model for a long time, I dont know if I will attempt the revell one or wait and see if another 1/48 model gets released.
  13. This is a fascinating build I am keeping an eye on this for when I start my SR71 for the Recon group build. I haven't started yet because I am still waiting on Eduards photoetched set for it.
