  1. After looking that the drawings provided I can't say if they are or are not Mk 77's so I defer to Mrvark's (Jim) recommendation. Reddog
  2. For the VA 86 markings you would use the early seat. Reddog
  3. My gut is telling me that they are not Mk 77's, the nose and tail looks too long to be Mk 77's. Reddog
  4. Wasn't our call, what ever STRIKE OPS says on the load plan is what we loaded. My take on it was that it was not needed and why fly around with something you don't need. Plus run the risk of screwing up the missile and breaking it, there are only so many on board. Also, even though it was a 200 lb missile, it still produced drag and it took 200 lbs of fuel away during landing. Reddog
  5. FOD in the Cockpit!!! Guy, that is going to cause every Maintenance Chief, QAR, and AME an heart attack. Reddog
  6. Look on page 82 of the DACO book, there is a picture there. The left side would be the Data Storage Unit (DSU) and the right would be the Master Caution Panel. Even though the the bird is a Bravo, they would be the same as a late Alpha. HTH Reddog
  7. Yea, and they where a PITA to load also. Hated those things, glad the USN didn't buy them. I personnally thought they where a piece of junk, not as good as the 9X. (I'm now ducking for cover after lighting that fuze) Reddog
  8. Thanks Jim. They didn't look like Mk 77's to me, that's why I thought they where BLU-1's, guess they could be Mk 77's. I would say that they are Mod 2, I don't think the Mod 4 was out in 66. Reddog
  9. I don't have any good drawing fo them but if you google "BLU-1 Napalm" you will find lots of stuff. I did find this; http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/det...223728d5b25b32e HTH Reddog
  10. Yes, the ASRAAM was larger then a Winder in daimeter, also slightly heavier. Reddog
  11. Those look to be BLU-1 canastiers. If you are doing 1/72 scale the ones in the Hasegawa weapon set are the ones to use, just cut the fins off. Reddog
  12. To my knowledge they used the A+ designation in their logbooks, we never used the C designation. BTW, the aircrew didn't even update their own log books, they had a YN3 from Admin do it for them at night in the Ready Room. Reddog
  13. Guy, Don't drop those sun glasses in the back seat and FOD the rear cockpit! It's a &itch trying to dig stuff out from under the rear seat so make sure you hang onto them. Looking Great!! Reddog
  14. It was never an authorized load for the fleet, only a one off Interim Flight Clearance and IIRC, RAAF is not cleared for that load out. Reddog
  15. Gregg, They where still referred to as A+ back then, the B designation didn't go into effect until 1 May 91. However, it took over ten years to get the A+ designation changed in the maintenance manuals. Reddog
