Last days I have tried to find more info about NB-52 conversions in 1/144. All I wonder now is when will someone do a new proper NB-52 conversion? It´s near impossible to find the Cutting Edge conversion. So here is plea to all manufactures; Please make a new NB-52 conversion in 1/144. Regards Tobias

Some filler was needed on the underside of wing/fuselage and the booms. The canopy was glued in Place as well, if you take it carefully and dryfit it will go without any problem. I was in a bit of hurry and needed filler in some places. The top canopy does not fit at all if it will be closed, it needs to be reshaped but it only affects the framing and not the glass. The paint used for the model is grey Xtracolor toghether with yellow and light blue Humbrol paint. In the resin conversion you get a master to do your vac canopy, I made one to use as mask over the whole cockpit. Once dried the decals were applied. Hoops: You making me uncertain, the first three examples you use are modified a/c at the end of the Viggen era. It is possible that the sequence was changed during these upgrades, I need to investigate further, I will post the answers then I have them. BUT the last parked picture you show all FOD covers are on, this also include closing the RAT. It was very unusual to install all covers, I think I only did it once for practice during my time. The RAT was deployed when the landning gear was lowered. It was always deployed until the gear went up the next flight during normal operation. Inside there is the oxygene and nitrogene refill that needed attention between flights. Also during engine starup the fire extinguisher is located behind the RAT. Note that the layout behind the RAT is different between the AJ and JA. If the aircraft is parked the hatch on the right side, under the canard, is open. Hi, I have the KMC Boeing 727 in 1/72 that are waiting to be built. Since the geometry of the nose/cockpit area is totally off my intention is to scratch build this part. To do this I wonder if someone has or know how to get geometry drawings of this area of the a/c. Any help would be appreciated. Best regards Tobias

The progress is going fast now, I will put together the fuselage any day now.... I have glued the air intakes with CA-glue and the fit was not that good as when I dry fitted the intake. It will take quite a lot of work to fix the joint between the intake and fuselage, more on this will come in later posts. The new doors fitted really well, I will put on some putty and rescribe them later. Also a pic of the inside of the APU-exhaust installation. The cockpit is assembled and glued into place. At last, an update!! The build is ongoing the cockpit is nearly finished and the wings are built, they need some more filler. And final touch ups. Pics will follow (Quite soon I hope :whistle:/> ). @ Erik: I work on it but realistic I don't belive it. @ Sernak: The Revell model is their own model. Hobbyboss has more or less a copy of Revells mold. The Revell model is the best 1/48 Rafale model as far as I understand. /Tobbe

Finally after 2 years I can start with the Revell Rafale. To this I've added D Molds intake, SMD decals and resin seats and F2 upgrade set and also the Wolfpack F2 upgrade set. For the main scheme I will use Dreammodels decal for the 2009 Tiger Meet "Catwoman"-Rafale. I started with the resin intake and open up the small side intakes. It is a quite stright forward operation that doesn't take much time and the results improves the intakes alot. I will replace the doors in closed position. I want to buy the 1/48 IA-58 Pucara from Aconcagua. I have tried to buy directly from Aconcagua but have not heard anything from Juan in quite a while now. Also I tried Llama but with no response at all. Therefore am I asking here if someone want to sell the kit or knows where I can buy a Pucara model. Best regards Tobias

There was a decal sheet for this aircraft produced years ago. It is OOP and the manufacture has closed down so I do not believe it will be produced anymore. If you are lucky maybe someone in Sweden has a copy for sale, put a note on IPMS Stockholms forum. Regards Tobias

Wrong scale for me, wish they could do the J21 in 1/48 instead. But it is a very welcome kit on the market and I wish all modeller a jolly build of this kit and looking forward to see the results. Glue safely Tobias
