  1. Don, Just a heads up - I started using these on my build. The first one I used was a rather complex smaller marking. The decal immediately started to fall apart when it was applied. Very fragile. I then moved onto the large tiger's mouth decal. This one had the black ink dissolve in the water before I could even apply it. I then moved onto to other decals. The remaining small ones actually went on nicely. You have to trim all the excess film away but one on, they look very nice. Instructions say to use lighter fluid to dissolve the clear film but I'm not sure I w
  2. Wow, what an amazing job. I did her squadron mate in 32nd scale a few years ago. You nailed the look of a hardworking F-51D!
  3. Title says it all, just bought a set for my AH-1G Cobra build. Never heard of these guys before, anyone ever use these decals? If so, thoughts?
  4. Is this the same General who went on that tirade about going to war with China last month?
  5. I vaguely recall reading somewhere that the very early TF160 folks either had some of these or were planning on using them for Operation Honey Badger or one of its predecessors.
  6. Not sure if this picture belongs here or not. Any idea what the story is behind this OH-58?
  7. I'm not in a huge rush but if it helps, I can certainly do without the packaging (and unless there is major surgery required), the instructions as well. Now, if I can just nudge you into doing those Cobra decals in 32nd, (modeling) life will be very good indeed.
  8. Thanks Floyd. Any idea if those sand shields are available from an aftermarket source?
  9. I know most of the experts have moved on from ARC but hoping someone can help with a few questions for a 1972 vintage Cobra I’m building - Were the tube-style skids a feature of later production Cobras or were they just random field mods? Main rotor blades - black or OD? Anyone have pictures of those sand shields (I think that’s what they are called) That were installed on the main rotor hub? TIA.
  10. Seatbelts first and foremost. Maybe a couple of M4’s stowed in their racks would be nice.
  11. Lol, I’ve lost track…. Maybe a Corsair? I just wrapped up a year long build of the 32nd Tamiya F-4C. Pics are on the Critique Forum.
  12. I'm still hoping someone offers of decal markings for Col Mill's AH-1G.
  13. They're cute. One thing I never was clear on - do those cranials have radio receivers built in or just hearing protection?
  14. Thanks Ron, sounds like you know your F-4's. Something about the Phantom... "The Great American Killing Machine".
  15. Year long build of an 8th TFW F-4C with one of those crazy early SEA paint jobs. List of aftermarket bits and scratch built details is too long to type up. The real thing. Note the dozen or two colors of the early SEA paintjob.
  16. Amazing work. Having just built Tamiya's 32nd F-4C, I'll be following your build closely.
  17. Awesome pics as always. Are flight deck crews getting a new type of cranial?
  18. Title says it all. Gonna be a nice year for helo enthusiasts.
  19. Also releasing a B Hog version. Still no interest in a D/H by anyone. Sigh….
  20. Good to hear from you Charlie! Hope you’re doing well.
  21. Posted on social media. Picture was labeled TF159+1 Sea Bat... USS Simpson. Interesting shot of an early FLIR setup on the Littlebird. According to comments on the picture, there may be an "extra special MD530" just visible in the left side of this picture.
  22. Almost done. Lots of details added to the canopies and inner wing fold areas.
  23. Lol. ALIS can tell you that you’ll need the parts but if the AF didn’t want to buy them, it is what it is. Didn’t ALIS get phased out a while back? Great shots Gary, thanks for taking the time to post. Merry Christmas guys.
  24. As compared to the folks at Sikorsky, with their on-time, on-budget CH-53 Kilo? I'll put my money on Bell for this program. Plus, does anyone realize how frickin' big the Sikorsky helo is? The thing is a whale.
