  1. Short list actually: 35th UH-1D/H 35th OH-58A/C (including the option for that grotesque flat plate windscreen for later versions C's).
  2. Good stuff Gregg. My son-in-law is with VAQ-141 out on the Reagan. If you come across any recent pics of that unit, feel free to rack 'em up!
  3. Fantastic paintwork, very impressive Gustav.
  4. LOL, I saw that and was going to post about it. Hard to believe that's from the sheer electrical power that the AESA radar puts out.
  5. Nice pics Gregg, as always, thanks for racking them up!
  6. Somewhat recent picture of an F-35 with live AIM-9X's. Is it me or do these missiles have some sort of new fairing on the bottom? Edit - I may be wrong, I just googled some other pictures. I just never noticed how pronounced that fairing was. That and the color difference led me astray....
  7. I'm always happy when I see that you have a new post up. As always, thanks for taking the time to post all these great pictures. Still can't decide if the F-35 is one of the prettiest jets ever built or the absolute ugliest. From some angles, it definitely looks like a bad-a**'d killing machine. From others...... not so much.
  8. Didn't know that Big Army was getting this installed on their helos. Thanks for the info.
  9. Good info, thanks very much. That’s a pretty small package for such a system, fascinating how quickly these devices are being miniaturized. Wonder if the rest of the Regiment’s fleet of helos are also getting these added?
  10. Thanks very much guys. Finally got a chance to do some work on the Phantom recently. Added as many details as I could to the area between the cockpits and the aft bulkhead of the WSO's pit. Here's the real thing: I've already started to tone down some of the scuff marks on the upper intakes and cockpit edges. Getting there...
  11. Hey LD, Any thoughts on that brown-ish vent panel on the aft fuselage directly under the circular access cover? Just noticed this feature. Seems to be nearly in the same spot as that large intake scoop that seemed to be part of the little seen IR suppression system.
  12. Interesting picture posted on social media. Looks like this MH has some new gear added. Either missile launch warning detectors or some sort of active DIRCM equip I would guess. I'm leaning towards the later since launch detectors are typically tied into countermeasure dispensers, and I can't see the H-6 taking on even more bulky, heavy equipment.
  13. Thanks for the quick response. Hopefully you'll be able to do some Snakes in the future, your decals are first rate. With regard to WW, last I heard (this goes back a ways), nothing was in the works.
  14. Hey Zig, any interest in doing a sheet (or three) for the ICM Cobra? Not seeing a lot of aftermarket decal love for this very nice kit.
  15. Now I'm really intrigued. See if you can answer this - was it a loadout that has been seen, at least on occasion, on these jets?
  16. Absolutely outstanding! That's a great thing you did donating your VTANG collection to them. Can't wait to see the pictures.
  17. I just use very fine stretched spruce.
  18. What was the loadout that caused all those issues?

  20. A tube of glue black paint white paint red paint blue paint green paint, specifically RLM81 (brown version)
  21. As far as accidents go, this one doesn't look bad. Certainly not in the category of "major damage" unless somehow a wing spar was heavily impacted. I'd wager that she'll be flying within a year.
  22. Never been on that site but no website will last forever. If you find pics or info that you feel is valuable, copy > paste.
  23. Thanks guys. Been spending time in the WSO's cockpit. Added the upper IP (front side is from Quinta, replaced all of the backside instrument housings with correctly shaped ones, added a bunch of Airscale placards, wiring, fittings, etc. On the aft bulkhead, added the canopy locking hook and it's spring, the canopy air line connector for and a bunch of electrical lines. Slowly getting this area to look as "busy" as the real thing. Also did some weathering on the intake / foward fuselage upper surfaces to replicate the scuffs from crew and pilot's combat boots.
  24. What happened to Grey Ghost? Looks like he hasn't been around for over a month. I was really enjoying his updates on this thread. Hope all is well with him...
