SCI-FI Spacecraft that can be constructed now
Maxtype replied to norm from canada's topic in Sci-Fi Modeling
Cool idea! I agree with your choices. I have a one with a modification:Discovery from 2001. Obviously,we don't save sentient AI like HAL( my brother,a Microsoft programmer, doesn't think sentient AI is even possible! ) or Hypersleep systems, but neither is a no-go for a deep-space explorer. Otherwise, she seems expensive but do-able to me. -Dave -
Guy,I've followed this build along, and I am speechless! She looks like she could FLY! Well done my friend. -Dave

Thanks Anthony! Yeah,I don't know where drawings would be.If I ever find a source,I will PM you ASAP. Sorry about the pictures,I've only had a digital camera for a couple weeks...........still figuring out how to size them and stuff. You know what I need to find is a really clear scan of the 'BSG 75' bird logo to use on the base of my Viper,I'm going to build it as Lee. -Dave

Just got this honey from Starship Modeler: I'm very pleased. The kit is beautifully sculpted: Close up of the fuselage: The decal sheet is very nice, with kill marks,DRADIS and cockpit instruments,Galactica and Pegasus insignia, and Pilot names for Apollo,Starbuck,Stinger, and Showboat. What I really loved though is the shoulder patches for the driver. The kit has no provision for landing gear, but I wanted it in flight anyway,so no prob. As you can tell,I'm stoked! -Dave

It did indeed,Anthony! Woke up to an eMail from Linda Wed.-kit got here for Lunch today! I'm going to post some pix in 'Spacecraft' -Dave

I know there is a book telling which jets the MiG Killers flew on which night....the Osprey book-hold on. Richard,it's going to take some reading to break out which tail numbers the MiG killers were in. The 58th kicked some butt! Let me see what I can find. -Dave
-
Richard,the Squadron is 58th TFS 'Gorillas',but I don't know the tail numbers.

I had the old Bigfoot kit my big brother gave me for Christmas one year..............Dad had to help me build it. I played the heck out of that beauty! -Dave

I've seen ONE episode of Dougram-straight Japanese dialogue,no subtitling or dubbing. It was very cool! I would love nto see Dougram come back, maybe like wave did with the VOTOMS kits, some limited re-tooling added to the classic molds. -Dave
