  1. very nice build, i have this one to do and was stuck on which markings to use, but i think this has made my mind up!!
  2. Hi all I'm currently building the Academy 1/32 F/A-18D in the lo-vis tiger stripe scheme (currently about halfway through painting the tiger stripes!) What i'm not sure about is how weathered this plane got in real life or what sort of loads she carried, so i was wondering if anyone had any pictures showing how grubby she got and what sort of ordnance she carried that they would be willing to share??? Thanks in advance
  3. Looks amazing, you've done a fantastic job on it!
  4. I think i must have a phixation too as i have 27 unbuilt 1/72 scale, 6 unbuilt 1/48 scale, 3 unbuilt 1/32 scale, and 14 unbuilt 1/144 Phantoms. I also have 15 built 1/72 scale, 18 built 1/144 scale, 3 built 1/48 scale and 1 built 1/32 scale Phantoms. SWMBO thinks i've lost the plot!!
  5. For me it has to be the Phantom as the kit is a joy to build and i would love to see what the Zotz conversion looks like!
  6. What a fantastic looking plane, very well done!
  7. Hi all. I'm looking to buy a 1/32 scale F-16 to go in my small but increasing 1/32 collection. Looking mainly in Europe to try and keep postage costs down. If anyone has one they are willing to let go of for a reasonable price drop me a line! Thanks
  8. Wow, what a beautiful Phantom!!!
  9. Thanks Aigore I must admit i'm quite looking forward to what you do with your F-2 as i've dug mine out of the stash to do when i see how well yours has come out! No pressure though!
  10. Ummm......nope, can't say i'm feeling that brave at the moment. I was actually considering the red and white Edwards colours. All i have to do is find another kit!
  11. Thanks Chris, i got the inspiration from one of your profiles in the Sea Raptor thread!
  12. My next build is the 1/144 Trumpeter F-22 Raptor. This kit was bought less than a week ago and went together so nicely and with such little fuss that it was assembled in only a few hours! The kit has fully detailed weapons and gear bays and comes with a good array of weaponry and external tanks. It is painted in the 2 tone JASDF blue scheme for the what if group build. Decals came from a variety of sources, including the kit, aftermarket F-4 decal sheets and the panther logo from a Mitsubishi F-1 Comments welcome
  13. Hi all, Here is my Trumpeter 1/144 scale F-22A Raptor in the ever so pretty 2 tone blue scheme as used by the JASDF: Further pictures in "my 2009 builds" thread!
  14. I just finished the Hasegawa 1/48 F-4EJ Kai in the 8 sqn 2 tone blue scheme
  15. Saw this at Yeovilton today and it looked great!
  16. Hi all Can i join with a Trumpeter 1/144 F-22 Raptor in the 2 tone blue JASDF scheme?
  17. The grey is Halfords grey primer, which is a UK car parts and accessories store, HTH
  18. Thanks for the positive feedback guys! Next up is a kit i started last year which got put on the back burner for a while as i had to decide which decals i was going to put on it. I wanted the blue JASDF Phantom for ages and bought the kit specifically for it, but then i won a set of Zotz decals for a dragon decorated plane! After a lot of deliberation the blue scheme won and the kit is now finished! so here is the 1/48 Hasegawa F-4EJ Kai in the 8sqn colours! Kit is OOB except for a pair of Aires resin seats!
  19. An Airfix Nimrod that i ordered from Hannants over a year ago!!! :)
