First test-shot of RoG 1/32 Eurofighter Typhoon
Samurai_Chris replied to ChernayaAkula's topic in Jet Modeling
Guys, a little OT. But what are the differences with the Italeri 1/48 Typhoons to the RoG? The reason I ask, is that the Italeri kit once built just seemed kinda dull and without life when I built it. ( I actually built the 2 seater and since binned it) So does the RoG have better features, mold ect? ps: what is every ones favourite Typhoon markings and why? German, RAF, Italian, Spanish, Austrian, Saudi? -
I'd say put them on and blend them in.. I hate large amounts of decals as well, kinda why I have only ever built two F-15's.. But better to at least give it a little more realism than not. They are actually on there. Just hard to see at times.. Chris

I did a C a few years ago in 1/32. Might have the instructions somewhere. I also have the decals as I did mine in RAAF markings.. Only real difference is the parts for the cockpit.. Chris

How anyone can love a single seater is beyond me. And that goes for the MiG-29 as well.. Twin seats all the way baby! Chris

Mate, I would like us all to move back at X-mas, but I think that may just be a trip for a few weeks as the wife is contracted to work until next March. (She is a Japanese school teacher) It may be a situation where by I will probably stay on, and get things set up, and she will return with the kids.. Still don't know yet. But she is the one pushing to live in Australia.. And in all honesty, after nearly 10 years here, I have had enough also... Chris

Pit looks good.. Not sure, but do the drivers still use shaggy red seat covers these days guys? Chris

Always nice to see something different Denz.. Again, great work mate.. Chris

RAAF F/A-18F Super Hornet "WIP"
Samurai_Chris replied to Samurai_Chris's topic in The What-If Group Build
Andrew, appreciate the kind words mate.. I had also heard about the colours, but wanted to do this in a different scheme. But thank you for your input. Nice to know that someone else had heard the same thing.. I do however plan on building another at a later date.. Currently I am still building this one, and a 3 Sqn Legacy B.. Chris -

Well mate, I am a fan of twin seaters. And I actually have built a Revell 1/48 Typhoon, but it has since been binned.. I may look into getting another... When it comes to the Super Pigs. I guess we will have to wait until they get the first one later this year to see what happens... Chris -

Sebastian, it took me a long time before I bought my first Legacy kit in 1/48. But I found one half price at my LHS, so grabbed it.. Have to be honest. But the Hornet in both varients is my favourite aircraft. Still thinking about how I will arm them. But Hasegawa are lacking in that department. I may have to re-check what's in the box.. Chris -
