  1. Those look really nice, but are on the pricey side. I've been pretty satisfied with Hobbyzone.pl stuff that I get through Hobbyzone USA. I like their paint racks most of all. Interesting the waterproof test on the ArttyStation stuff, like who is going to be dunking their workstation setup in water? Nice to know I guess.
  2. You sure that's enough info to get it right??? Seriously though, VERY cool. Making life easier for us grunts working in the (modeling) trenches.
  3. I have one small complaint. That is the heavy mold lines on the landing gear. My experience is that these are difficult to clean up with all the brackets or whatever they are called that encircle the gear legs. They also cause the gear to be out of round. This, as I said, is a small concern, but with the quality of molding everywhere else, this is somewhat a disappointment.
  4. I've never seen an airbrake fit that good on a model. They always leave an edge or ridge. Not this one. Excellent engineering.
  5. Hope you don't mind if I jump in. Alexen Model, and maybe one other company, make Photoetch tape cutting templates for cutting various shapes. I found a vendor in Australia that sells them: https://www.modellersworkshop.com.au/tools/stencils/steel-stencils/ Don't know who in Europe sells them. I believe they are made in China. They also make some very nice looking tools.
  6. You masked it with individual little tape squares??? You are either insane or the most patient person on the planet. In either case, well done Sir!
  7. Looks like Nino has taken all his toys and gone home. I think he has cleared out every one of his posts.
  8. Or the microwaves are burning the paint.
  9. My closest encounter with lightning (got that spelled right?), was when walking back to the car from the local Office Depot in Ft. Myers, FL. Lightning struck a lamp post as I was walking by it. Have never heard anything that loud. I nearly pissed myself. Scared the sh*t out of me.
  10. Unfortunately, he isn't the only one who's going through difficulties. I am sure there are are number of our members here that could attest to that. As I alluded to, I haven't been able to work on any models for almost a year now due to health. We all have our crosses to bear. No excuse to act poorly. If he is having problems, I hope things get better for him. Modeling has been a corner of brightness in an otherwise miserable existence for me. So, I can sympathize with him. But, enough is enough and this is a thread about the GWH Su-27UB, which sure the H*** looks good. I pref
  11. My friend, I think you have set your expectations of normal people and, in particular, model companies, too high. There are no perfect models, there are no perfect people. This is reality. Its cold, dirty and not always so friendly. We strive for the best but must often settle for something somewhat short of the goal. I feel you are investing too much of your life in this one small part of it. Not to belittle its importance. Modeling is important to all of us here on ARC. But you must look at your hobby with a bit of perspective. Step back from it, as it were. Take a break, go see a movie (wel
  12. See, that just it. Every time someone tries to bring up your behavior or something you said, you decide that the suicide route is the only way out. Shoot yourself, sound all hurt, and say you're going to leave. This is childish behavior. Again, there is nothing wrong with pointing out perceived errors or inaccuracies in a model, just don't expect everyone to react the same towards them as you do. To many, this is a minor problem and can be overlooked. You've made your point. If anyone wants to pursue this further with you I am sure they will contact you. Perhaps even get the fix from you.
  13. Me too, but I don't know if it officially counts as a vertical stabilizer. Its kinda both the vertical and horizontal in one. Judges, can we get a decision?
  14. I built this kit many years ago. Used Waldron placards in the cockpit (yes, that's how old this build was). Came out pretty good. Its not up to today's standards and some of the panel lines aren't accurate (I think they were more from one of the early development versions of the F-16). Still, if you want to do a 1/32 F-16A its a good starting place.
  15. Very nice. Did you use a masking set to do the lighter colored tape areas?
  16. That is really sweet. I love the Canberras. I am surprised that no one has done a correction for the fuselage/horizontal stab interface. I don't look forward to tackling that on the kits I have (if I ever get to them).
  17. Dude, chill. There is nothing wrong with bringing up a perceived problem. I am still having difficulty telling what the problem is from your photos. I understand that you are saying that there is a "kink" in the under surface of the fuselage/wing that is the wrong place. I don't think we have enough photos of that area on the actual kit to see it properly. But, if there is an issue there, it will come out. Inferring that anyone who can't see it is unintelligent is just plain rude. Be patient. More photos will be released. I would like to see the area in question with the engine nacelle in plac
  18. I haven't been paying attention. Didn't even know that Quinta had released F-18 sets. Plus, F-16C and I and MIG-31 sets. Alex is really pushing forward with new sets. I finally received my Mig-29 set and it is every bit as good looking as seen in the photos. Every little knob, button and dial is rendered in 3D. Light years ahead of photoetch. Plus, Alex seem to be getting the colors much closer to the real thing. No more of the purplish grey sets for USA dark gull grey.
  19. You're right. Also referred to, by some, as the Su-33UB. Here another pic. Doesn't looks weird from the side.
  20. What in the name of all that is holy is THAT monstrosity?
