  3. To my knowledge there are three decal sheets covering VF-41 Tomcats in 1981/82. An very old Detail & Scale and the SB decal sheet. Both sheets contain markings for a SU-22 killing Tomcat (the D & S for both SU-killer). There is/was also an other older sheet from Superscale, No 48118, for a gull gray VF-41 SU-killer. http://store.spruebrothers.com/shared/Stor...et=products.asp Maybe there's more out there, but that's all i know Regards Jens

  5. Hello, there are always Phantoms, and amongst others F-4S, at the forum. Here is one more....... ;) It's a Hasegawa kit updated with a BB cockpit and Aires nozzles. I rebuild the inboard and outboard slats to 'S standard and added a scratch build inflight refueling probe. I can't remember more modifications....... it's about five years ago i finished the model. Best regards, Jens [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img]

  8. Hello, thank you all very much for your kind feedback on my F-105!!!! As Spruemeister already stated the F-105D/F/G versions had both types of refueling recepticals. The markings for this "Wrap Around Thud" model are from Two Bobs. They declare the colors as FS 30219, FS 30140 and FS 30091. In my eyes two of these colours seemed, compared with the few colour pictures i know, not to match the "original" colours. I used FS 30219 "tan", FS 30140 mixed with "Russian Earth Brown" in a unknown mixing ratio (sorry!!) and the third colour is the same as the latter one but toned down with black (

Hello, encouraged by all the kind comments about my TA-4F, i post a few pics of my F-105D. It's a 48-scale Monogram kit improved with a KMC cockpit and Eduard etched parts. The open panels and the landing gear are scratch build. Decals are from Two Bobs. The model was finished in Oktober 2005. Cheers Jens

  14. ....I especially love the way you angled the hori stab down, how did you go about doing that if you dont mind me asking? Also did you use the A-4M nose? Anthony, for the angled horizontal stabiliser i made a rubber mould of Hasegawa's trim "area" (i do not know the correct term used?!) and made a "copy" with resin. Then i removed the Hasegawa part and placed the resin part at the angle i wanted. The nose is from the A-4E/F. I just used as few as possible from the Monogram fuselage. The fit of this "Mono-insert" is not that bad. For the rest - Magic Sculp is your friend..... Best regards,
  15. Thank you all for your kind comments! Ben from Fox One Decals put some more pictures of the TA-4F on his webpage. http://www.foxonedecals.com/ Conversion was done using a Monogram OA-4M cockpit fuselage section and canopy inserted in a Hasegawa A-4E fuselage. The front cockpit is a detailed Hasegawa one, the rear pit is primarily scratch build. I used (of course!) Fox one Decals, also for the intakes. It's not easy to apply the decals to the intakes so i corrected some shortcomings by masking with Tamiya tape and airbrushing with MM insignia red. This color fits perfect with the insignia
