  1. Im a bit dissapointed about what Eduard released for this kit, i thought they were going to release a Big Ed set as detailed as their 1/35 UH-1C sets. Too bad they released just a basic set, the Italeri UH-1D set comes more detailed than this one. Rod.
  2. Way to go my friend, looks awesome, keep that great work! Rod.
  3. Thanks Tim. Yes, all those antennas comes with the kit, including the satcom egg beater, but the egg beater comes solid, not hollow, thats why i decided to scratch build it using fine brass sheet. Rod.
  4. Hello guys, heres my AH-64E in 1/48 scale. The model is OOB except for some antennas that were scratchbuilt. Paints are acrylic Model Masters and weathering was done using Tamiya weathering set A and AK sand wash. Hope you all like it. Rod.
  5. I really didnt want to criticise the model but i agree with Dave´s comment. The tubes are definitly off, so as the main rotor mast, it looks angled a bit backwards, but it doesnt mean the mast must be straight, in the real thing it angles a bit forward, thats the only criticise i can make, the rest is a pure BEAUTY! Rod.
  6. Best one ive seen so far. I am impressed, this is just a beauty. Painting is fine. I really like the abrasion effect on the blades leading edge, it looks like the real thing. Cant wait to start mine soon. Rod.
  7. I believe they are all in my photobucket. Search Rodrigo260 thats my photobucket name. Rod.
  8. Floyd, In the modern Huey sheet, hope you include some Huey II examples, like the Department of State amazing camo birds and the Customs and Border Protection birds. Rod.
  9. Looks awesome Charlie, decals are on the way! I believe those two holes are only included in the medevac version, i think it has to do with the medical gear they have in the back. Rod.
  10. That looks fantastic Tim, wish we had an accurate A/C Kiowa available. Cant wait to see your Helo build. Rod.
  11. Thank you all for your kind words. Im very happy you all like it. Now lets get back to Hueys, hell yeah! Rod.
  12. Thanks Tim im very happy you like it. The RBF are the Eduard 1/48 version, the 1/32 is just freaking big out of scale. The pitot tubes covers are made from tamiya tape. The engine inlet and exhaust covers are from the Eduard MH-60S photoetch. Rod.
  13. Hello everyone, finally finished the Hawk. Aftermarkets i used in this kit: -Werner Wings Medevac conversion -Werner Wings UH-60 decals -Eduard Big Ed from UH-60 and MH-60S -Fireball Modelworks rescue hoist -Black ops doors -Cobra Company CMWS -Shapeways wheels. Heres the final result, hope you all like it. Greetings. Rod.
  14. Youre right Ray, i almost forgot that you also need the 90 degree gearbox from the Italeri UH-1D as that one is identical to a 212 box. The standard UH-1H gearbox is different. If you guys have the kitty hawk and italeri hueys, they you can build a Huey II. Rod.
  15. To build a Huey II from the Kitty Hawk UH-1D you need to grab the Revell AH-1F tail rotor system and the Italeri UH-1D main rotor blades, but you still need to scratchbuilt the baggage compartment on the tail boom. I might build one soon, Rod.
  16. Floyd, are you going to include the NVG mount for the tail light? Rod.
  17. They are practically Bell Huey IIs, CALFIRE calls them Super Hueys, they have had them from a long time now. Amazing birds. Rod.
  18. Oh wow, that is looking amazing bro, i thought you cancelled this one. Good to know you resume it. Rod.
