  2. Thanks everyone. I love the "Bats" markings with the Asian lettering and had to do that one. Jim, yes, I know (hanging my head in shame)...there are no photos of it parked and shut off with everything hanging out. You have to make that decision early, probably before you glue the leading edge slats together. I glued them together first and there was really no going back for me at that point. You reach a point where you just have to ask, perfection or completion? Would you believe that it's ghost taxiing to the catapult? The engines idling? Yeah, that's it...
  3. Here are some pics of my recently completed Vigilante. Mucho aftermarket for extra added pain. It was built with the Black Box cockpit, Cutting Edge Seamless intakes, Nautilus Fuselage Brace and Aeromaster Decals. There was much work done to use the stock engines with the aftermarket. I guess I'm a glutton for punishment...
  4. Here's RealSpace Models Mercury-Redstone in 1/72. The cure time of the Gunze Acrylics fought me the whole way on the tail section and repainted it many times until I got it right. I went to my standby of Model Master enamels for that. I didn't have any decaling to do there anyway. The decals worked great. I only needed to use Solvaset on the capsule's corregations. I used Bare-Metal Foil near the steering vanes on the tail. I punched the porthole windows out of acetate backed with BMF using my punch and die set. Gunze clear blue was used to finish them off once they were white glue
  5. Here's RealSpace Models Gemini Titan in 1/72 scale. This was mostly complete prior this group build. I spent a lot of time sanding the pvc tubing down to match diameter of the 1st and 2nd stage resin parts and more time with Mr. Surfacer. Much time was spent chasing down all the pinholes in the resin and smoothing things out. Shoot some 1200 Mr. Surfacer, apply CA or 500 Mr. Surfacer, sand, repeat... The plumbing for the main engines was replaced with solder and much of the structure for the main engines was rebuilt with Evergreen tubing. All of the roll markings are painted and the me
