Love the F-86 and A-4. Great pics of them all!
-
Check Amazon out. They have many varieties.

I think the scheme was developed at Hill AFB. That was the main depot for Phantoms back then.

What I did was, cut the pylon off of parts 60 & 61 which is the Lantirn Targeting pod that goes under the port intake. Then mate the Sniper pod to the pylon. The pylon and Sniper fits under the port intake. I believe you then need to put the nav pod, parts 58 & 59, under the starboard intake.

Great idea!

I second Curt B's response.

I actually like the "Pre Building" phase more than the actual "Building" phase. The research on all the items like load out, decals, history of the plane, and after market items IS the fun part to me. There are many avenues to explore in scale modelling.

How to improve paint adhesion on resin parts?
airmechaja replied to dai phan's topic in Tools 'n' Tips
I have always primed resin parts with Tamiya primer and never had a problem with paint not sticking. -
Easiest build is Hasegawa....stress free. Nicest is Tamiya and ZM for sure!

I've always loved the old Revelogram 1/48 F-100 Super Sabre. It has a few wrinkles but are fixed easily. They are a pretty quick build and look great in the end.
-
I would also recommend Caracal. Kursad produced many fine F15E decals.

I have the Meng 1/48 F-35, do I need the Tamiya F-35?
airmechaja replied to Alternative 4's topic in Jet Modeling
Yes you need it. I bought it after I saw the video of the assembly process - Brilliant! -
Skillfully done. Great effics. Love it!

Modern warfare-drones are boring for modeling
airmechaja replied to DarkKnight's topic in General Discussion
I'd have to build one first to make a decision. I'll take a donation kit from someone....😀 -
Tamiya has one of the best F-14A's ever made. In my opinion. Well worth the money.
-
Good job. If you're lucky enough to find the old Revell kit, It's a fun kit to build.

It's the only way to fly. Never had a problem in 20+ years. That includes coming all the way from Asia.
-
Nice. Great job. Always loved the 100 or Hun if you prefer.

Capillary method works great for me also. Once you get used to using it, you'll be done in minutes. As stated in earlier post, the internet has many examples.
