  1. No questioning, GWH is superior.
  2. I should have been more specific. I'm referring to the limited edition MSIP kit. It's quite extensive for out of the box. Dean
  3. Vern, If you know anyone with a GWH F-15C MSIP 1/48 kit, there is a very nice print out of the stencils etc. with the instructions. Maybe they could scan a copy for you. Dean
  4. There is another Sabre with "like" markings. The tail number was 959. In the Osprey book of the 4th Interceptor Wing, there is pictures of Parr but neither of the Sabres in question. Like you said, where did Hasegawa get the information?
  5. I think Agressor Gray is discontinued by Modelmaster. :(
  6. I bought a Craftsman compressor 1.5 HP, 3 gallon tank. It comes with everything you need. Years of use with zero problems. Around $100.00. Dean
  7. The Hasagawa F-4E with L.E. slats does not have the bumps. Dean
  8. So is it safe to assume that G.W.H. F-15C MSIP is correct with the -220 engine? Dean
  9. In the Squadron Walk Around book for the F-15, it shows the -220 engine that is the same as Jake's picture on the left. I'm really confused now!
  10. Thanks for all the replies. You've given me much food for thought.........including chicken wings
  11. What periodicals do you guys recommend for mostly aviation modelling? I'm getting a little tired of the mixed bag I'm subscribed to now.
  12. Please don't tell me it was number 6.
  13. Count me in with the Monogram A-7A. Dean
  14. I'm pretty sure AIM-9L's were used in the later 70's. Not sure about AIM-7's.
  15. "Wings of Fury": From Viet Nam to the Gulf War. Very good read about US fighter pilots in the Navy,Marines and Air Force.
  16. You can't beat A "Lonely Blonde" Ale while modeling.............or even if you're not modeling!
  17. I second that. Phantom is right on the money!
  18. Now I'll have to buy more stuff! Like the new look.
  19. Tremendous read especially for aviation "nuts".
  20. My go to spray silver is Tamiya TS-30 Silver Leaf. AS-12 is really hard to find at present. TS-30 will give you a really good finish.
  21. We're our worst critics. I would never have noticed it even after seeing the real one. I'm sure I would leave it.
  22. I sure would like to know which one is good looking OOB rather than accurate............please.
  23. I agree with most of the people here. I have been with Sprue since they started. For me they blow away the competition online. As many have said, Squadron didn't read the writing on the wall. That's part of doing business in the world. You snooze,You loose.
  24. If we are talking about Phenolic laminate, it is a red brown color like in this link: https://www.interstateplastics.com/Phenolic-Natural-Canvas-Sheet-PHENC~~SH.php?vid=20160407185754-1p
