  1. Nice project, with that AM, and references you will have a great F-16. Thanks for joining the Group Build, and I apologize for missing your entry until now.
  2. Thank you so much for your kind words. 😃
  3. It is the Hobbylinc store brand - which means it is BSi ... Bob Smith industries. It seems to be a little easier to sand than normal CA, and I can easily see where it is. My hope is that CA will not shrink, or otherwise react with Lacquer paint and cause a ghost seam.
  4. I finished the model which was occupying the bench, so now I can devote more time to the F-16 I was not happy with how the seam in the intake was shaping up, so I tried Mr Disolved putty and a Qtip soaked in Mr. Color thinner to smooth it out. Which seems to have helped the seam, but as expected removed the paint I am thinking of trying the pour latex paint down the intake technique. And on the rest of the airframe I used black CA to fill the gaps, and carefully sanded and rescribed I did some test fitting and it i

I hate installing landing g
  13. Looking good, I see where the touch up is needed but it is a great paint job over all.
  14. Oh yes! I was looking for an excuse to build a Hornet too. I am thinking Hasegawa F/A-18A and Flying Leathernecks Decals.... and some cool ordnance. Has to be a USMC bird.
  15. I have been working on this one slowly. I had some other things to do the past few weeks I attached the pieces around the nose. I consulted my reference pictures to ensure I used the correct parts Then I managed to get a gluey finger print while installing the closed speed brake wups. and I installed the lower wings I am still getting used to building modern, recent kits, and I found it is very important to really clean every little bit of the sprue attachment point since the tolerance between
  16. This is a great thread, thanks for the feedback on these kits, I am also interested in building legacy hornets, and this is exactly the information I was looking for.
