ok my turn. so i am also a jolly rogers fan weather its VF-84 or VF-103 some tomcat decals i would love to see are the tomcats used in the movie the final countdown from the 8o's and the tomcats used in the film Executive Decision and the VF-103 tomcats used in bosnia cuz i love the black and white markings there so cool

hear is my qustion about this jet since i also have the same decals from 2 bobs for that tomcat. would the jet be painted in only 2 colors? or are the tps colors faded so much that they look like 2 colors? and like the person asked where can we get tomcat data printed in fs-35237 Medium gray to fix it or when i am building the jet should i weather it enuf to hid the tomcat data?

mustang looks great. my quation with the salt idea is what type of base paint do i need to paint my model for this to work right. or will any type of paint work cuz i have a lot corsairs and tomcats i whant to weather. and what kind of salt works the best that i can find at the store

so what color is the right shade of blue for the blue gold and white hornet? i have seen every thing from the dark blue which looks like dark sea blue to a lighter blue. so should i just choose a picture and go off of that ?

OK so i have some Bf 109e's in my collection but one of them says to paint the interior in REALM but if its from the Battle of Britten wouldn't the color be RLM 02? so i guess my question is when did the change over happen from rlm 02 to rlm 66

OK so the pain colors i can get in my area are and i hope these colors will work are. tamyia,Mr color, life color, i was going to say testors but there RLM colors suck so out of the 3 names i put down who is a good match?

while i am at it i am painting GBU-16 LGBs to go under some of my tomcats but who makes the right colors for the olive color and on the front part of the bomb what color is in between the fins is it orange or brown and who makes a good color match?

if a new version of the VF-31 sheet is going to come out then i can wait with my tomcat project because i whant them to be right

OK so hear is why i am asking is. i have 2 VF-31 projects that i want to do.
1 do the life of tomcat buro number 164603 from the earliest markings i have for it all the way to the way it looks siting in front of the Northrop Grumman plant now.
2 my second project is to build the 4 tomcats that were at the 2006 NAS oceana air show and the tomcat sunset ceremony. these jets are from VF-31 are black and yellow tail jet number 100 buro number 164342, then flying pencil with the red rudder markings jet number 101 buro number 164603, then hi viz retro jet with the color tomcat logo on the rudders jet number 103 buro number 164350. and the last jet is in the normal TPS low viz colors with the tomcat logo on the rudders jet number 102 buro number is 163904.
so how i will model them is how they appeared at the event and how they are now on display. the sheets i will use are from super scale fighter town VF decals and cross delta and yellow hammer. so let me know what you think of this idea?

so hears a good one for every body. i will be starting to build tomcats from VF-31 in 1/48 scale and one of them is jet buro number 164342 with the number 100 on the nose and it has black rudders with yellow tips. OK so my question is on the rudders there is a round circle with Felix running with the bomb like the the VF-31 patch. and i have decals for this jet from yellow hammer,cross delta,VF decals,and super scale. so what i want to know is who got the size of the circle right and the shade of the yellow right. because the cross delta sheet looks darker than the other shades of yellow used on the yellow hammer and VF sheet

so i have space shuttles in 1/72 and 1/144 scales who makes after market decals for them? i ask because i havnt heard any thing from tango papa decals at all. so is any body else doing decals for them so i can finsh my shuttles?

i saw the movie in imax and the flying is and was the best part and goose of corse. so thats the only reson to see it

is it finshed? i cant wait to see her and i have had good results using gloss black then a crome paint over it and it will shine up just like the real plane

ok so i will soon be starting my enterprise D model . for paint ideas im going to try and go with the studio model colors used. 2 of the colors that were used are fs-24516 green and fs-15526 blue but do these colors match sky green and RLM 65? or what would be close to these colors?

i say look for life color paints there acrylics and they make the 2 grays used on the hornets and a little of this paint gose a long way i have a bottle from a project i did 2 years ago and its still good
