  1. First off there's the Cutting Edge/Meteor Production set in 1/48. Very expensive and quite rare. I've got 6 that I've found for a future project (AD-1 , AD-4Q, AD-4W, AD-5N, AD-6, A2D1 Skyshark) as well as the CMK/Czech Master Kits, the Aires stuff, I'll replicate Monogram's prop (It's more accurate than Tamiya's), a couple of C&H Aero Miniatures A1 conversions, Dynavector's A2D1 Skyshark and North wing Model Craft's 1/48 AD-4W/AEW.1 SKYRAIDER CONVERSION. Send me your email address and Ill send you the *.bmp and *jpg files I have of the skyraider...not just wing folds but a lot of other
  2. Yeah, just gve me a few days to look through my computer files. The Cutting Edge/Meteor Productions Resins are really great, but OOP and expensive-trust me, I, bought three for future projects. Also try Hannants (http://www.hannants.co.uk/) for 1/48 Airwaves AEC48098 Wingfold set and conversion to Douglas Skyraider. CMK/Czech Master Kits makes a lot of other stuff. My project will be 6 major versions of the Skyraider (wings folded) and will also include a seventh-Dynavector's 1/48 scale vacform kit of the Skyshark...also with folded wings. Slowly amassing all the parts I'll need. I now have be
  3. Hi, I'm having the same problem. I've been looking for a Collect Aire F9F-8T on eBay without success. I do have 2 Founderie Miniateur F9F-8's, one of which I'll build as a F9F-8, I' convert the other to a -8T by using -2, -5 or -6 fuselages and grafting them together. I have the Detail and Scale 5-view drawings as well as the Detail and Scale books and Squadron/Signal Publications F9F Panther/Cougar in Action. My other option would be to graft another forward section cockpit onto the Founderie Miniateur F9F-8. I'm pretty sure that either will work. I'm not going to be able to resume bui
  4. Hello, I'm searcing for a 1/48 KMC SB2C wing fold kit. They've been out of production for years. KMC sold to Squadron, who have no plans to re-issue the wing fold kit. Any assistance would be extremely welcome. It goes without saying that I would be willing to pay a more than fair price. I'm going to be out of town for the next week, but I can be reached on my cell phone. Thanks again, Norbert E. 5. Hi, I've given up on Classic Airframes' 1/48 F2H-2 Banshee. They had announced it for 2008. Looks like they're out of business. Anyway, I have five of the old 1/48 Testors/ Hawk kits. I want to build them, but with a lot more detail. I do have the Squadron/Signal book. I can use that for the panel lines. I have some images of the cockpit, so that's not a problem. What I'm looking for are images of the landing gear, gear wells and wing folds (especially wing folds!). I've got about a million tools and templates for scribing the panel lines. I have a friend who does custom Photo-Etching,
  6. Thanks, I've been looking for over 9 months now and haven't seen one on eBay. "Rare Plane Detective" had one, but he sold it about two hours before I was able to reach him. Thanks again, Nick
  7. Hello Doug: I'm looking for the Cutting Edge set that coverts the 1/48 Trumpeter RA-5C to the earlier A-5A (A3-J). "Product # CEC48493 This set includes all airframe parts necessary for the conversion, including new wings with separate slats and flaps, wing pylons, intakes, spine, correct front fuselage, canopies cast in clear resin, etc. The set also includes TWO full decal sheets that include markings for FIVE different birds! Because of the large areas of International Orange or Dayglo Orange on some of the aircraft, they also include TWO huge sheets of BlackMagic Precut Painting Masks t
  8. I've decided to TRY to locate a 1/48 Cutting Edge Vigilante Conversion since I would like to do all my carrier-based aircraft in 1/48 scale. If you have one you're willing to part with, let me know. I'm willing to pay a reasonable (or unreasonable, for that matter!) price. 9. RA-5C # 149294 149276/149299 North American A3J-1 Vigilante c/n NA269-11/34. Redesignated A-5A in 1962. 149276/149281, 149283/149289, 149291, 149293, 149294 converted to RA-5C and given new c/ns of NA296-55/70 Most RA-5Cs were painted with the standard Navy insignia white and gull gray scheme, but a few did experiment with various camouflage schemes. Some were painted with a medium green/shadow green/desert tan scheme, with lower surfaces. However, it was found that the use of camouflage actually made the aircraft more visible to AAA gunners on the ground, and experiments with camouflage w
  10. I am interested in the ESCI FJ-2/3 Fury 4042, if you still have it. The price you listed was $30.00 Thanks! Norbert E Onaitis 16 Elwood Drive West Seneca, New York 14224-4204 United States of America (716) 675-8005 [home] (716) 480-8040 [cell] onaitisnick@gmail.com
  11. I'm searching for a retail source for the "Seamless Suckers" line of cast resin intake ducts. I've managed to get my hands on one for an F-8 Crusader and one for an A-7 Corsair II. I'm still looking for intakes for a number of others.I have an address for them at: Seamless Suckers 406 N. Hoover Rd. Wichita, KS 67212-2550 but I haven't received a reply from the letter I sent. Does anyone know if they're still in business? Thanks! Nick Onaitis onaitisnick@gmail.com
